    Hi everyone…another tail of woe at our house. My precious Peebee passed over to the bridge 2 months ago because of renal failure after 19 years with us. Perhaps some of you remember my posts through this awful time. Her lifelong friend, Squeek, joined her today.

    Squeek was such a gracious old lady…so feisty in her younger days, but she slowed down a lot in the past few years. We suspected she did not feel good lately, but since Peebee left, Squeek went into a downhill spiral. So today was the day for her to join Peebee. This is so hard….my house is deathly qiuet. I’ve cried more than I ever have. I was just barely coming to terms about my dear Peebee and now this.

    Everyone here was so supportive and sympathetic over my recent loss. A few kind words about my Squeeky would sure help. My heart aches for all of you who have lost a sweet companion.

    Camille, my heart aches for you now. To lose them both so close together is just heartbreaking. Know that now they are back together again, chasing butterflies and eating grass and nippies to their hearts content. They are smiling at you now. Do you feel it?? Try not to cry for them as they are free now. You will see them again, promise! They will wait for you till you are ready to join them. {{{many hugs for you and your family}}}

    Oh no! Too much sorrow in one house. :'( I am so sorry about your beloved Squeek, no time is long enough when you share it with the loved one. But thank you for giving Peebee and Squeek a long and good life with you. {Hugs} and kitty kisses.

    Maybe some day you can give your love to other kitties who desperately need it.

    I’m so sorry Camille. Squeek sounds like she was a wonderful kitty. My Shaddo has not been the same since his pal Jiggs died in January. I fear the empty nest that you describe. My sincere condolences to you. My heart aches for you.

    My heart breaks for you, but know that Squeek is being met by our precious Jerry and little Peebee at the Rainbow Bridge.

    Oh Camille, I’m so sorry! I went through the same thing 3 years ago. It still hurts. I guess that is one of the downsides of having cats that are the same age. Just think of them together again, playing like they did when they were young and fiesty. They both had a long and good life.

    I must warn you though, if your home is anything like mine, that a new needy cat (or maybe 2) might be heading your way. I think they all know where the cat lovers live…

    Camille, I am so sorry to hear you lost your beloved Squeek. They were both loved kittes and they loved you in return. They are together now playing and I am sure telling stories of when they lived with you.

    I am so sorry about Squeek,it hurts so much to lose them after so long but it is such an incredible testiment to how well you took care of them that they lived so long. I know that that is probably not much help now,mourn your babies and hopefully you can help out another needy kitty or 2 when it is time.There are so many out there.

    This is one of the hardest parts of our relationships with our feline family members, that their life spans are so much shorter than ours and that we have to see so many of them leave us. Only the love we share with them during their lives makes their leaving bearable.

    Enjoy the Bridge, sweet Squeek; you’ll be forever remembered with love.

    Can we light candles for Squeek? Who knows how to get that started?

    I remember when our beloved Siddhartha went over the Rainbow Bridge. He was an only kitty (and preferred it that way) and we got him four days after we were married (as of June 4, that will be 31 years). Sid was with us for 16.5 years. Our house was so EMPTY without that orange baby, and I cried so much. We lost him four days before my birthday, and I was already sick with food poisoning 🙁

    But…we then went out and picked up a pair o siblilng kitties from a local rescue. Tansey is still with us (yay!) but her brother Baz, (also orange) is keeping Sid busy. Now we’ve added Hermes to keep Tansey company. Hopefully there will be a number of years between losing Tansey and Hermes. I hope so anyway, Herm has a heart murumur, he’s a tubby, and he’s got asthma 🙁 But he’s SUCH a gentle, loving kitty.

    Camille I’m sorry for the loss of your beloved kittenfriend Squeek. ((hugs)) Squeek and Peebee are probably talking about you right now – how they miss you just as much as you miss them. I know it’s hard, I will be thinking about you and keeping you in my prayers.

    I’m so sorry about your double loss. It’s hard to lose just one but more than twice as hard when you lose two.

    When we sent our beloved Blue Suede over the Bridge, our vet leaned over and whispered to me, “You were a good mommy, Suede had the best life possible.” For some reason that comforted me.

    So I’ll say it to you:

    Squeek and Peebee had the best parents they could ever have wished for. Their lives were happy and full. You were a good kitty mom and they will never forget you.

    My condolences to you at this time of sorrow with the loss of your second kitty. It is very sad losing this one so close to the loss of your other kitty. I am sure your house seems very empty. Many hugs to you. You can always come here to talk with us about your kitties if it helps you.

    #226654

    How sad—there is not much I can say to help your broken heart, just to give you hugs.

    Camille, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Squeek. She must have missed Peebee terribly. I’m sure that Peebee was there to meet her precious friend. But I know how empty a house can feel when our fur babies leave us. It’s hard to even walk in the door knowing that they won’t be there. I know that you have years of precious memories, and in time I hope that remembering the love of Peebee and Squeek will bring a smile. For now, I know that tears must be shed.

    Take good care and comfort in knowing how loved Peebee and Squeek were, and how much love they gave in return.

    It’s so sad to lose, not one, but two….

    I have tears in my eyes just thinking of your empty house. I have walked in your shoes, and losses of that magnitude are sooooo hard….

    Hopefully, in a bit of time, you will find yourself with a new 4-legged buddy that needs you to open your heart and home.

    Sending positive, healing energy to help you through this time of grieving…

    Camille this is so sad to hear. I just lost my precious dog Abby yesterday after 14 yrs. I know the pain you must be feeling at the loss of both of your babies is very great. There is some peace at knowing their pain has ended eternally though. I have lit a candle for them both and am sending you a prayer that your heart will heal soon. {{{{Hugs}}}}
