Karenopa – however much you haven’t drunk would be my estimation!

I am going to share this recipe with my friends. It sounds good and reminds me of a meatball version of swiss steak.

PM do you use dry white wine or is it a sweet wine? Its late so I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to find out that answer as well as the amount of wine to use.

Soooo all the time I thought it was my family’s secret recipe and it was New Zealand meatballs!

I really didn’t want to cause sisterly contreversy…

ppearson, Karenopa… it is dry white wine and I use about three tablespoons of it.

If you end up doing this recipe don’t forget to tell me!!!

Pipa’s Mum, you didn’t cause a controversy, that’s how we normally are, joking around most of the time. Now tell me are there any Red heads in your family, that might explain the recipe being in our two families.

Nope, not a red head in sight on my family… mmmm must look into this…

Most of my family have a little red mole…

Nope, no red moles, hmmmmmmm, very strange. Oh I also add some smoked paprika to my meatballs to for a bit of zing. Then I cheat and use a tin of tomatoes with onions, garlic, peppers, added to the tomatoes, and make a sauce.

Nope Moonshadow… our recipe has a family agreement that we shall NEVER under any circunstances shall we ever cheat using tinned goods. The taste is just not the same.

Maybe we are the ‘country’ branch of your family…

Little wine for the sauce, little wine for the cook….. It’s all good!

I see we ALL use the “Justin Wilson” method for measuring wine for cooking. “Exactly on-n-n-n-n-ne cuppa wine!”

BTW, Giada says cook with a wine you would drink, 2b, so you seem to be doing all right. I just want to know how to eat all that rich Sicilian food and look like Giada!

We’ve accused my dad of that. We call him “the Nibbler.” The kids have even spoken about designing a super-villian costume for him. They never get past the necktie with the bottom bitten off before they have to stop becaust they’re laughing too hard!

Funny how my husband likes to watch the food network when Everyday Italian is on. You don’t suppose it has anything at all to do with all of those low cut tops that Giada wears, do you? Personally, I would take it as less of an insult if he preferred Paula Deen.

WWM not it is just his deep and abiding love for simple Italian cuisine that keeps him tuning in!
