Darn, sometimes I really hate this Post-Polio Syndrome Dragon! I was getting some physical therapy at home for an especially painful hip, and the gal arrived with her ultrasound and all the good stuff for massage–and I got hit with an anxiety attack and had to cancel! So here I am, full of xanax and hip pain at about 7+ on the 10 pain scale! Can’t win. Sorry for venting–sometimes I can handle this with grace–other times I just want to swear–today is a swear day.

    ok–I’m done.

Oh Rainingwolf, I’m so sorry to hear about your bad day. That truly sucks! Why don’t you go to bed and try some meditation? Envision yourself in a wondefull place full of love and sunshine and will yourself to have a bette day tomorrow. Hugs to you and yours from me and mine!

You can do a lot worse than that. Polio is a terrible disease. My best childhood friend Anne has a big sister who was crippled by it. It was an awful burden to a young girl – %¤&%, it’s a curse to everybody it attacks. So vent in peace, I send a little prayer and {virtual hugs} to ease your pain.

Rainingwolf, sending you calming thoughts and pain-relieving vibes. Get in a good place in your headspace and try again with the ultrasound massage thingy. It will make you feel so much better. The day that she is to come, drink plenty of water so that the ultrasound will be maximum effective. hugs

Rainingwolf, I am sorry you are in so much pain. Where is Instinct with his flaming pu-dao? He could tackle the dragon. 🙂 I hope the pain eases soon. Any chance you could take the xanax before the treatment? Can you think about what caused the anxiety and address that? Maybe doing Lamaze type breathing would help. (I feel like I’m grasping at straws, but there must be something.) Purrs and gentle headbonks coming your way from me and my kits.
