Yes, I am bored and sitting here trying to get ‘tired’ enough to sleep for more than an hour or two.

Morning/afternoon Deb, I’m bored too for now but the news will be on very soon.

    News is on, back later.

Jan, watch the news and then rest (yes I know you are tired of resting) 🙂

LOL!…. hey guys, I too get tired of ‘resting’….. but then again, I get up and take a long walk down Bayshore……. really clears my mind!… (or what’s left of it)

…… I’ve taken most of Dau’s most precious baby clothes and have had them cleaned/boxed up and have begun giving them to many friends who’s children are having kids…… Dau doesn’t want them (self proclaimed) but I do have a couple of nieces who have loved wearing those special hand-smocked little dresses that my Mom made…. they are really beautiful!

I have a cedar chest full of Mommy’s clothes and although she’s been gone over 12 years now, I haven’t found the courage to cut them up and use them in quilts.

    Yes, I am a weeny…..

Hi everyone! I think of Cindy, Terri and Sharon often and miss them.

Celebrated neice’s b-day at sister’s place and watched the Daytona 500. It was a nice afternoon. I made “melted snowman” cookies from a picture I printed out months ago. Thought it was fitting since we’re sick of winter in these parts. For my first try and no recipe to go by, they turned out tasty and really did look like partially melted snowmen!

Oh, and a vicious closet cleaning is in my future too, perhaps when I have off tomorrow and it’s supposed to get stupidly cold and snowy. Those 2 days last week were such a tease with temps in the 60s!

Hi all. I did the closet cleanout at the beginning of Summer and will do another one before Winter strikes. Most of the leftovers went to the opshop but I did take some of the better quality things into a consignment store and am hoping she sells them or else I get them back! I find if you clean out at the beginning and end of a season you have an excuse to go shopping for new stuff! (Actually, we’re women – we need no excuse). 🙂

Not a weeny WWM–You love and miss your Mom. Having the clothes keeps her physically close to you.

We have a Free for All at my church. We can donate our gently used clothes. We have a night when people can come and take what they/need or want for free. We had one last week and over 300 people showed up. It makes me feel better about getting rid of stuff I no longer need or use.

What a wonderful program, CTR! I don’t think that we have anything like that here but we do have several women’s shelters. Probably I will send it all to the garage sale that all of the proceeds go to Meals on Wheels.
