So Blossom is almost 3 months old now and is just a dream. Perfectly litter trained, independant and very well behaved. Anyway, I’m driving to see some family four hours away for a night, and was wondering if she would be OK by herself? We’re bringing two ferrets in the car anyway because we’re delivering them to a friend there, and I don’t think driving with two ferrets and a kitten in a car for four hours would be very pleasant.
Blossom has a big cage in a very well sunlit room and a mini cat tree. I think she’d be just fine for a night, but what do you think?
    Thanks 🙂

    Ah Maria,

Another road trip! How many hoomins are in the car? How big is the car? I don’t know anything about transporting ferrets but I’m sure they will be caged. Since Miss Blossom will be crated and did so well on her first road trip why not take this time?

I have a dedicated cat sitter who checks on my gang but I would only leave mine home in dire circumstances. I worry about fire or injury and would be heartbroken if I think I could have been with them. My bad, that’s my own guilt trip.

For what it’s worth that my advice.

We’ll have four people in the car so I’m not even sure if both cages will fit. The cars got a cramped back seat. Turns out my next door neighbor is available this time and is letting her stay with her… It’s a three second walk to her house, and because she’s not working this weekend this will work perfectly. Thanks!

Sounds like a plan Maria. Four people packed into a car along with two ferrets! Sounds like a fun ride! Miss Blossom might be getting the better part of the deal being “catered to” by your n’bor! 😉

Well, how was your trip? Was Miss Blossom happy to see you?

Or did Miss Blossom give you the “stink-eye” and lay a guilt trip on you for “abandoning her” in the lap of luxury. If so, she’ll forgive you – eventually! 😉

She had a blast! My neighbor has a puppy and Blossom loves her. She was quite happy to see me and everything’s back to normal now 🙂
