    ((Siobhan)) Feel better soon. It sooooo sucks to be sick.

    So we had the girls outside in the back yard last night and they were playing. Our yard is fenced in, 6 foot wooden fence, except over the driveway, it’s a chain link fence…well since Miss Abbie learned how to open the fence a year ago, we have bungee corded it and have a lock on it so she can’t open it to get out….well last night she CLIMBED the fence to the top…Maddie yelled for Daddy, who found Abbie. I just have to keep that girl in a cage i tell you…

    Do you see my gray hairs????

    Aw, Ms B…here Dot will share her noms w/you too! (Dot’s appetite has changed since being on insulin too. Sometimes I must coax her to taste her fave treats, comes w/the disease/cure… but she’s still my mini ol’ lady queen of a cat!)

    JK, know the feeling on the coaxing, her fav’s aren’t her fav’s anymore. So feeding her tuna, shredded chicken with cheese sprinkled over it, anything she wants and the vet agrees that she should eat what she feels like eating. Tell Dot that B appreciates the noms, and she will share hers with Dot 🙂

    Abbie has her own agenda and she’s not telling anyone…lol…maybe the ice cream store…who knows…she just likes to show people what she can do and sometimes it seems like she challenges herself…

    jeankit…I wish I had that energy too! I really need to find a gym class for her, she is really talented with climbing and upper body strength

    OMG, CM! That Abbie IS a little monkey, isn’t she?? LOL. Yup, she could be a gymnist or a famous rock climber one day!

    Coming in for a warmer & a yahoo news alert as Leona Helmsey’s millionaire dog “Trouble” died…who gets the moola $$$ now…wouldn’t it be great if it was a pet rescue organization!!!

    Hi everyone! Nice to see you all enjoying the cafe today! I’m happy to see thoughts and stories of our kitties today, past and present.

    Jiggs and Shaddo were the first kitties I ever had to make the executive decision for. They lived long and happy lives and for that I’m thankful. I cannot thank TDK enough for the support in getting me thru such difficult times. Here’s to you!

    It’s a scorcher here – lots of schools are letting the children out early today. Thank goodness the weather is always purrfect in TDK land.

    Hi Gini….your video of Feeny with his new mousie was so cute….what brand of mouse is it, where did you get it?

    Joan, Granddaughter got out early on Tuesday for the summer :)) I know the east always went to school longer than us mid-westerners 🙂

    Thanks Katthays! The brand is smart kat madcap mouse and I got it at Target for 2.99 (and WWM says you can find them at walmart too!). If you want one and can’t find at either place, I posted a link for ebay for one on the original thread although they cost more through ebay

    Thank goodness we’ve broken out of that 90+ degree swelter…wind and rain last night brought in temps below 70! YAYYYYY!!!!!!

    Power came back on around 10am; hubs went out for errands and saw the utility truck. Stopped and asked the guys how long it would take to get things repaired, and it was within the hour. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    For those not on Facebook, I posted a link to a news story about how I-69 just north of the junction with I-94, had the two southbound lanes buckle from the heat yesterday! Concrete in both southbound lanes heaved up TWO FEET and a number of cars went sailing over it (at 70+ mph) before traffic stopped. WOW. Can you imagine that? News indicated that some cars went 60 feet airborne before landing; one car was going so fast it was airborne for 90 feet! YOW!

    Because of budget cuts, there are not a lot of police on the highways most of the time, and people drive stupid fast sometimes.

    Interesting article on coughs, I had one stretch where I coughed almost continually for about 18 months (very annoying to both me and those around me).

    Glad that your power came back on Siobhan.

    I saw that about the streets buckling under the heat, and now on Yahoo! they had an article saying that the heat will be here for a few more days at least.

    Thanks for that info, Gini…I am going to check it out next week when I go to Walmart….the closest Target is an hour from me, one way 🙁

    I’m glad you have “juice” back, Siobhan! We never realize how we use electricity for practically everything, till we don’t have it!
