I’ve just experienced the most serendipitous moment of my Life!!! I had to share!!!

As many of you know myself and Mr B are hoping to build our home and then Ideally will set up a holistic treatment center for cats from my home office
) and we just discovered today while doing some research that the field opposite our field (only meters away) is called ….wait for it ….

Carraig Na gCat…. Which means Rock of the Cats!!!!’

I’m in shock! This is definitive proof to me that there is a higher power involved when it comes to my love for cats.. And how they always find me when they are in need. This area has been called Carraig Na gCat for hundreds of years but it’s no longer common knowledge . I’m ecstatic ! We know now our house name will be Carraig Na gCat πŸ™‚

I mean my God I plan to set up a Cat Clinic there!!

This is all meant to be ! There are no coincidences anymore I’m so happy I feel like I belong this is my home this is my heart I’ve been drawn here and to Mr B (who always as a child loved his cats ) this place draw a people with a love of cats!

I now know why I’ve been drawn to that field and strangely enough ther is a fairy fort (ancient stone circle) in the field beside us and I often leave the cats whiskers in the fairy fort for the fairyies so they can use them as wands ( old Irish tradition) and of course it was always believe here that if you look into a cats eyes for too long you’ll seen the fairy kingdom entrance. We have picked an incredibly magicial place to live out our lives steeped in ancient feline history!

I probably shouldn’t be this exited but I feel like something has clicked for me <3

    Oooh Buttons,
I’m getting chills just reading your post. Life is or can be quite interesting! Can’t quite figure out how to pronounce Irish name for Rock of the Cats, but no matter LOL. Place should be on map as purry tourist attraction! Very auspicious and right for your setting up your practice there. BTW I’m still trying that eye thing with Dorry, no luck as yet! But he is fast asleep in his new bed, which is a first, as usually he disdains anything that I put effort into oh his behalf.

Wow Buttons! I LOVE when that kind of stuff happens! I would be so excited and sure that I was doing the right thing with all of those things falling into place like that. What a wonderful name! And BTW, I love the story about the fairies using cat whiskers as wands!! πŸ™‚

That pic is how I imagine some of your farm from the descriptions you have given us over the years and that pic fitted the bill.

It certainly did MS πŸ™‚ we have a lot of forestry surrounding us and the area called Carraig Na gCat has mounds of rocks and massive bolders in it I’ll get a pic and post it πŸ™‚

I’ll have to get proper pics but this should give ye an idea πŸ™‚

This is the stone circle (fairy fort) that’s in the field beside ours
    http://www.irishstones.org/place.aspx?p=346&i=2

The odd thing about this stone circle is that it has the remnants of an old hawthorn tree growing in the center you don’t see that very often and hawthorn is a very important fairy tree so much so that in Ireland whole motorways have been diverted so as not to disturb old hawthorn trees!

and this is an arial view of our field at the bottom you can see the road and right across the way ( bottom right of pic) you can see the mound in the field and that’s where the giant bolders are just sitting there in the field as if they just sprung out of the ground from nowhere πŸ™‚ this is Carraig Na gCat πŸ™‚

    πŸ™‚ thanks Deb πŸ™‚

Just brought Mr B senior down to the field this morning because he remembered as a child the area known as Carraig Na gCat. Turns iut our field is the start of the area known as Carraig Na gCat so we won’t be building beside it we’ll be building in it! Strange πŸ™‚
