This global celebration is dedicated to web browsing, blog trolling, selfies and all sorts of other stuff. It was conceived in 1989 at the CERN centre in Geneva, Switzerland. The wondrous tool is extra great as it brings us TDK land…Wee! A special shout out to our very own resident guru, KM.

“Rabbit rabbit” is originally a British superstition that brings good luck for the rest of the month when spoken out loud upon waking on the first day of the month.

Good morning! Isn’t it amazing how quickly the Internet became indispensable? What did we do when we wanted to know something NOW before the Internet? I really do love that ability and can’t imagine living without it now.

i find myself relying more and more on the Internet for shopping. For an early birthday present I wanted a 9×13 pan with a hard plastic lid for keeping cakes fresh. I have a 9×9 one like that and find the lid so much more pleasant to deal with than plastic wrap or foil. I take cakes to the lake too, so I wouldn’t have to worry as much about the icing getting messed up with a lid (the lid is sort of domed). Anyways, I thought Walmart probably has them (it’s where i got the 9×9) but did I really want to drag the boys out and take the 15 minute trip to the less than pleasant Wal-mart (with the chance they wouldn’t have it) or go to Amazon and read a few reviews and choose one there. Amazon it was…$10 and one day later (we have prime and they exceeded their two day goal) I had my pan.

So I used that pan to make a childhood favorite blueberry cake recipe. Had it with brekkie…yum. It was often my birthday cake growing up since August found our freezer well stocked from our June berry picking. My birthday is tomorrow and there is plenty left for brekkie tomorrow too. ***passing some through the wormhole to share****

LOVE the pics, especially the one with the DREADED BLUE SCREEN and basement cat looking a little “sheepish”!!! ECB, I’m with you yet again. I don’t know what I would do without the net to look whatever, whenever, as I use it as a teaching tool for myself. I know you can’t believe everything you read, but I research a lot of different places before I decide it’s true. I also shop online and I mean a LOT, with fast, free shipping and get EXACTLY what I want, why do I want to travel and *try* to find it. I’ll share an experience about Walmart though, it’s not the same as the brick and mortar Walmart. Learned it the hard way when returning something from Walmart.com to regular Walmart. They even undercut their own stores prices. It’s just that you have to be vigilant about making sure they treat you right.

Good morning – the www sure has become a common tool for every day life, hasn’t it?
Planned to take some moon photos over the lake early this morning, and although the moon still seemed high in the lightening sky, in the 5 minutes it took to dress and walk to the lake, it had set behind the mountain. It was beautiful to see last night.
PG, your pedi looks really cool!
Oh no, a summer cold, KZ, yuk. They can be as nasty as winter colds. Hope you and Avery shake it soon.
It was quite warm at the Farmer’s Market yesterday. Did a bit better in donations. Also, vendors help each other out, which helps morale, as general attendance is low. It’s most likely due to it being a new location and needs to establish. It will be closed for the next 2 weeks while the garden center does renovations to the parking lot. I bought a birdhouse from the vendor next to us, and a little package of cookies from the bakery guy.
Had family in from out of state, so we had pizza at mom’s house. By the time I got home, fed 3 STARVING kitties and looked at the moon, I was tired!

    Good Sunday morning all. 🙂
ECB, I didn’t notice you in the Cafe lastnight(my time) we were posting at almost the same time and then I headed for bed.
I use the www for all sorts of things, news and weather mainly but also recipes, gardening and trivia. Also for chatting with a great group of cat people. 😀 😀
Joan, that is the trouble with trying to photograph the moon, it just won’t stay still for you. Thought of doing the same thing the other evening but was also defeated. LOL on the starving kitties, don’t they overdo the hunger bit when you are a little late.
KZ, sorry about your summer cold. Odourless garlic and horseradish tablets from a healthfood store can help dry up a snotty nose enough to make the cold bearable.
Our Sunday dawned wet but now the sun is coming out, it is almost noon and a certain black dappled tortie is still asleep on my bed upstairs. No! I have just heard her jump down and now she is trotting regally through the room headed to the balcony. Not one iota of shame for having slept in so late. I think her cat senses must have heard me saying things about her.

Afternoon MS! ….. LOL @ HRH! ….. they have absolutely no shame for sleeping the day away …..

…. this wet monsoon is still coming down, it’s been raining for over 2 1/2 weeks solid, and EVERYTHING is damp! …. Mr. AV went and bought a dehumidifier today, our hardwood floors are starting to show ‘cupping’ because it’s so humid outside! …..

…. counting down the hours til Dau lands tonight (midnight) …. I hope the flights aren’t delayed because of all the rain! …..I’m putzing around in the kitchen, setting the table, doing prep for having the family over tomorrow for fish fry/early dinner …..

AV, I’ll bet you are so excited about dau’s impending visit…nothing like the anticipation!
MS, you made me smile talking about Shadz…I think we should be more like cats…in every way. No shame about climbing back into bed to catch a few more zzzz’s, trotting through a room with our noses up in the air like we own it, you know life would be so much more enjoyable if we could spend it with a cats’ attitude! Thanks for the tips on cold remedies too. I’m so aggravated about having a cold–I hardly EVER get one. I even know where I got it! A friend of my sister and BIL was here from California and we spent time with them. He came down with it while he was here (probably got it from the airplane). He is gone now, but they talked to him today and he has a full blown cold now…*sigh*, I have it, Avery, Avery’s mom is coming down with it and now hubby has a scratchy throat. Seriously, UGH!

Oh yes, www is great for chatting with a certain group of cat people! I like it for recipes too, mainly because you can just type what you have for ideas, i.e., ‘zucchini recipes’, etc.
Shadz heard you for sure, MS. When in doubt, the cat probably is out to get you! They’re not trying to be mean, just superior.
AV, the weather is perfect here today, so I’m doubting any flight delays at this end, hopefully it will be ok at yours as well.
Ugh, sounds like the cold is making the rounds, KZ. Sending lots of feel good vibes to all of you in KZ land.

    Agree re “cat people” LOL.
Also, not quite getting why peeps need to take course on using I’Net. I just use search box something like Ouija Board – just type in my search words and there it is! Also so great for searching out song/film title that I “must remember now!” Some downside as I don’t do Facebook and never will, plus not a substitute for expert advice, ie of the medical variety. But If I keep myself reined in (not all that easy at times,) the good outweighs the not-so-good. And with that I’m off to bed. Night-night!

Good night KJ have a peaceful one ….

KZ, so sorry about the cold, hope it is short lived

Joan, so far her flight has been delayed an hour ….. All the rain has backed up landings here ….. bayshore was again under water, and many streets and homes flooded …. We just hunkered down …… I think I’ve said before, my house is built up on a crawl space and our streets slope down to the bay …. No flood worries for me 😉

…. SO, I’ll continue my Criminal Minds marathon until Dau gets here …. Love that show!

Hoping the flight arrives sooner rather than later AV.

MS is shamelessly announcing she fell asleep for a good part of the afternoon and so did Mr MS. Of course neither of us new we had fallen asleep until we woke up. 😀
The day is coming to an end here, sun has hidden behind the clouds as it was setting and the temps are dropping. At least the fire is lit and HRH should be at the door soon demanding to be let in for dinner.
