Hi all! Today’s been fun…got older son back from camp! This morning before we left to get him younger son said he didn’t sleep well last night because he was so excited to get his brother back….awwww! We took subs in a cooler and stopped at a state park on the way home…lovely. Doing all his nasty laundry now…lol. And he did have a great time. And I’m sooo proud of him for doing something that was a little scary, but he knew was worth the risk.
I’m recovering a bit from my funk about the cats’ teeth. It is discouraging, but can’t let it steal my joy. That was a grant article you linked on stomatitis, PG. I’m definitely all for being aggressive with extractions. I wouldn’t commit to bringing Lucy home until I found a vet who agreed. That vet ended up ill and unable to do the surgery, but I nudged Lucy’s new vet in that direction. Problem now is that my kits have tooth resorption but not stomatitis. I think full mouth extraction is a pretty widely accepted treatment for stomatitis, but not resorption. Problem is the resorptions keep coming, so I’d think staying ahead and taking the teeth that are likely to be next makes sense. Seems it would be the only way to prevent pain…it progresses so quickly. They boys were freshly “dentaled” last summer and Emily’s mouth looked perfect at her check up. Now Eko and Emily are definitely in pain and Leo may be…she couldn’t see his mouth as well.
Mmm, smelling the berry crisp in the oven for son’s welcome home dinner. 🙂
