    Hi Everybody,

World Naked Gardening Day is an annual international event celebrated on the first Saturday of May by gardeners and non-gardeners alike. Why garden naked? First of all, it’s fun! Second only to swimming, gardening is at the top of the list of family-friendly activities people are most ready to consider doing nude โ“ โ— Gardening naked is not only a simple joy, it reminds us–even if only for those few sun kissed minutes–that we can be honest with who we are as humans and as part of this planet.

Good morning PG, Deb and AV! Av I have the fan in my gas oven (convection) and if you’ve never had one, it’s the best invention since ranges period! It bakes so even and it’s wonderful for meats like chicken and turkey because it doesn’t bake just from the bottom, but circulates the air to give an even heat. Just my 2 cents!
LOVE the ‘kitten seeds’ pic! They are all sweet PG, but I don’t think I’ll be gardening nekkid anytime soon!

KZ, I’m trying to decide what I want, I had a covection electric wall oven in our big house, but didn’t really use it much …. My fault, just never took the time to learn it. Some of the ranges I’ve been looking at have double ovens, but I need one to be big enough for a large turkey …. I also want a 5 burner with middle griddle ….. Decisions, decisions!

Well the orange face finally appeared at the door, Abby was ectatic! He must have bolted out the door when his mystery owner opened it lol!

Good Morning PG, Deb, AV & KZ. Fun theme – no one goes around nekked in my house; the cats all wear collars!
Thanks for the links Deb ๐Ÿ™‚ The newest royal baby is here, yay! A proud day in the UK indeed.
AV, my parents had a center griddle on the stovetop of the oven when I was growing up; I used it as soon as I was tall enough to reach it. In fact, that very griddle was where the McMuffin was invented. I made taylor ham, egg and cheese on an English muffin way before McD’s.
A bit sore today from the tree planting yesterday, but the community service feels good (No, it’s not mandated!). It is a lovely day here in Jersey, and I must get outside for I brought home a few trees and need to get them in the ground ASAP. Oh, and I won’t be nekked either!

    Waves @ Joan >^..^<

Liked the thought of center griddles on the stovetop, grew up with a gas stove that actually my Dad still uses without anything fancy. I have tired to replace his stove and fridge but he says that they still work so why change them out, sigh. They both are the old gold colored applicances if that tells you the age of them.

Oh my, I remember those gold appliances! I’m a bit old school as well, and have trouble replacing something if it is not broken. A product of depression-era parents…
Hi Cheri – have fun in the yard today, it sure is a nice one. A bit chilly, but that’s okay, let’s not skip directly from winter to summer!

I like to see my appliances too AV. I shopped for my washer and dryer online for a whole year before getting them, and going to stores to ‘see’ them. I had one brand picked out, but after reading the customer reviews decided against it…boy, am I glad I did! I know what you mean about knowing what you want, especially in a stove…I spend a lot of time at that thing! I would love a double oven, but I don’t have the space, so I would have to put it in the wall, which I would LOVE! Have fun with it!
Morning everyone! Hazeling here in a few minutes, Mr. KZ just got into the fields yesterday, so planting is on now in full gear! I am going to have to grocery shop too (ugh!) but will have to do it later. I hate Saturday grocery shopping!!

Hi, guys. Thanks for the laughs this am, PG. The sprawled out naked photo cat really cracked me up.

So glad, for Abby’s sake, that Sal made it over today!

Glad your community service wasn’t mandated, Joan…lol.

We had soccer this morning and various chores around here this afternoon.

Joan, what kind of trees did you bring home to plant?
AV, I had a time deciding which stove to buy also. I went to Sears and looked at all of them, and mainly wanted only two different features. There was only ONE stove there that had both. I have a flat top stove and love it. A gift from my sister and hubby when I moved in here. There was a gas stove here and my daughter didn’t want any GAS in the house “cause it’s too dangerous and smells.” SO we had NO stove for almost a year. That wasn’t easy… With the cats, a flat top is SO much better. At my other house, the cat hair would collect under the burners and was a mess. My cats rarely lose hair now as they did back then, due to a different diet. Plus, I only have TWO cats now.
I did look up my Pet vacuum on line though and went to Lowes to purchase it. Plus, I got the internet discount as well.
At my dad’s Jersey house, we had a double oven (one regular size one and a smaller one to the left side) plus the 4 burners on top with a nice big griddle in the center. I used that griddle all the time! There were four of us to make pancakes for! I sure do miss living there with my dad, hubby and daughter when she was so little. Such good times. The smaller oven was perfect for stuffing when the turkey was in the bigger oven, or baked potatoes, etc. Nice not having to heat the big oven up all the time.
YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE… Awww…. LOVE that song. My mom sang it to me, and I sang it to my daughter too. Sweet.
