Wow, your stove/oven sounds awesome, AV! That’s great that your Hazel gets your old oven, which I’m sure is also very nice. Feels good to pass something along that someone will get use out of, instead of something like a major appliance end up in a landfill. I think I can smell your dinner from here!
I’ve never actually seen a green river, except what they post on the I-net. Unless you call the occasional collection of algae on the lake comparable to a green river. Hmmm, no, I’m sure there’s no comparison! Plus green algae is really stinky!
Hi MS – I remember when you had lots of butterflies and then only a few last year. Hope they do okay this year, I love hearing about them and their progress/challenges.
Oh Shadz, hanging out in the rain again. Lucky you have a cozy home to go to dry off and stay comfy. I’m sure you’ve got a full belly by now too!
Mac is doing well, thank you for asking. He was snuggling by me while I read a few chapters of a book earlier. He loves to annoy Comet, who is pretty happy-go-lucky, but it’s got to be annoying for him when he’s disturbed while trying to nap in his basket. Comet still tackles Leela, who of course is more of a target now that she’s out in the open more, but I often wonder what she’s thinking when Mac goes after Comet.
The pretty blooms of the forsythia really brighten up a winter-weary home. I don’t grow the plant indoors, but the clippings in water bloom for a while, then I just go out and clip some more! I did clip a bunch just before the blizzard in January but they were pretty sleepy and didn’t want to bloom too much. Now they are waking up and looking bright and happy!
