    RIP John Glenn, such an extraordinary man.

    So I have to comment that I’m confused. When I heard Mr. Glenn passed away, I wrote “RIP John Glenn, 1921-2016” on my fb page. A few comments from friends say something to the effect of ‘sorry for your loss’. Um, do people not know who John Glenn is?? Two people who posted and are in the know happen to be TDKr’s, one of whom doesn’t even live in the U.S.! Now common fb etiquette, or lack thereof, would have me calling these people out, but it is not my nature to embarrass people. Hoping they will watch the news and see that this is not my personal loss, but everyone’s loss of a great man and national hero.

    Helping us start on expanding our horizons.

    I don’t get it either JJ. We learned about John Glenn in school and I don’t live in the US either. Peeps don’t know who he was? Sad comment on what peeps know these days. Sad that I’m not all that surprised either.

    Yes, I saw that on FB…was wondering if these peeps were outside of the US also. Their names weren’t familiar to me, but that doesn’t mean much as I only know a few of everyone’s real names here. 😛 I wouldn’t have said anything either because the sentiment is the same.
