I retired 5 weeks ago. It’s been a whirlwind month and I’ve finally had a moment to jump back on the daily kitten site. I’ve missed the kittens and all of you.

Congratulations BBM! It took me a while after I left my last job, but I feel as if I am officially retired. Even though I am babysitting my one and a half year old granddaughter everyday…it’s different than being out in the world collecting a paycheck. Hope you are enjoying your new found freedom!

Thanks for your words. I envy you having a tiny grandchild. Mine is 11 going on 20! I do miss having a little one.

Congratulations on becoming a Free Woman, BBM – but you must be still young, with an 11-year-old grandkitten. The youngest of my three will be 23 this year!

I’ve been trying to persuade Mr CWS to retire for years, but he hasn’t stopped yet. One day! Enjoy your ME-time – you’ve earned it.

    😀

    Congratulations on your retirement BBM!
I only know you from your postings on Home page but would like to become better acquainted, say in the Café? I’m in effect retired myself, I do some freelance work now and then and volunteer, but left the corporate world a few years ago and never looked back! ‘Cept to say glad that I’m out of it. 🙂

I’ve heard a few people say, after a couple of months of retirement, that they can’t imagine how they ever found the time to go out to work!

But at least, once you’re a Lady of Leisure, you can choose what to be busy with. Nobody can push you into doing what you don’t want to do.
