Jo, actually I did read it, I just have a warped sense of humour >^..^<

Great Dane, yep at least partially Dane…my aunt used to try and get me to go with her on vacations there and Norway, but the Norway trip took too long for a kid who had no sense (dumb me, can you believe that)…it was fly in, take a train, and then take a boat or ferry to the fjord where the family was from. If only we could take time back, but like they say hindsight is 20-20

Big supportive hug Crazycatman. Divorce is hard… having been through 2, I still think of things on the anniversaries and count how many years it may have been.

The funniest/strangest thing about my 2nd ex… he claimed to always hate cats. Never could i have one. Guess who now has a cat ?!?! Un huh.. same guy who claims to hate them. Oh well. His communication skills still stink… LOL

Hang in there, Catman. I was close to my 20th anniversary when I found myself suddenly divorced. It’s been a few years and I’m starting to do better. Even my ex is amazed that I went and got my real estate license, work two jobs and have managed to hold onto the house. I have been out on a few “let’s meet for coffee” things but felt deeply uncomfortable; I haven’t dated anyone in about 25 years and it feels very odd! Everyone tells me that I “need to put myself out there” and I reply, “No I do not.” At least you guys understand when I say that I’d rather be home alone with my cats and a good book. To the rest of the world this sounds deeply wierd.

Ahhh..you guys are great. My furr family has been great, they seem to know. Gir has a special head butt he does, always seems to know when it’s needed, he hops up on my lap and puts his head over my heart(always) and pushes and purrs always makes me feel better.

    Hello, All –

Sorry I worried anyone, I’ve gotten well over the walking pneumonia, just been busy with other things. Called my insurance company to ask what the premium for Sept 4th’s homeowners would be. Almost fainted when I heard the amount of the bill! I was a “special risk” because I didn’t have central heat. I had to rush around to get central heat and air installed and ran into every imaginable obstacle to get it all set up, installed, and of course, paid for. At the rate the insurance was rising, The heat and air will pay for itself in four and a half years. At the same time, my little church was given 30 days to vacate and find a new, if temporary, home. The property owners finally realized just what a liability the building is. Being on the board of directors, I was quite busy with the planning and the actual move. We have a lovely new temporary home – last Sunday was our first service there. Meanwhile, lots of changes were brewing at work, and while I was on vacation this past week, my boss stepped down :(. We go back thirteen years, and he kept telling us he wouldn’t stop being our boss. Piecrust promise – easily made, easily broken. Now he will be at the other end of the store. The guy taking his place is top-notch, but he has been telling me for months that he’ll be leaving the company in November! I’ve always said that if you don’t like something at this place, just wait six months and it will change, probably for the worst!

I guess that catches me up, and is probably more than you guys wanted to know.

I have read a lot of the posts, and have sent positive energy to so many of you, and celebrated the good things you have posted.

Hi guys! I am back from my honeymoon. The wedding by the waterfall in St. Regis Falls, NY (about 50 miles from Montreal) turned out wonderful! Got to meet my new hubby’s family and then flew back to Long Island to visit with my kids and grandkids. It has taken me awhile to figure out this new format and get registered. I haven’t been able to go online at work now that I am behind because of my time off, and we are starting to get busy preparing for tax season. I might be joining the night shift, since I am 3 hours behind the East coast people.

Hey, Terri—-you got Bogman back???? What day did you post the story? I want to know what happened.

    Never mind–I found it! Yay!

Still new at this chat room thing.

Awesome to hear from you, Janet, and you too, Sheba’s Mom. You were missed! Do jump onto the night shift thread each night. It is usually a lot of fun.

Great to see you here Janet, I was starting to wonder if you were ok so I thought I would ask. I did and I received. Hope everything goes smoothly for you now.

Hi all, hi Paulajeanne and Molly–I am OK just battling a head cold and really busy at work because one of the guys wife had a baby. We are always shorthanded but more so with him out so I have worked a few extra hours. I have a harder time getting on here during the week sometimes, too. The trailer is being taken care of by the neighbors and they have the damaged area covered to protect it from the elements and are working on permanent repairs. They feel so guilty I feel sorry for them and I think they learned something for sure.
