If it’s Claxton fruitcake, I’ll take it. You can have any Pineapple Upside-down Cake I get stuck with.

I’ll take the pineapple upside down cake, but only if it’s from scratch. I don’t like the box stuff.

Deal, but I have to warn you that I don’t bother to find out the source. I just stay as far away as possible!

All bets are off then. I don’t even participate in pot luck at work because a lot of the people are so freaking nasty. You don’t wash your hands after you use the restroom? There’s nothing edible you could ever offer me that I would ever take. One of those really ‘suave’ people who blows their nose at the dinner table? Ummmm….no. Sneeze into your hand and don’t even bother to put sanitizer on your hand? Go away please. Are you a serial nose picker/ear digger? Get away from me. I could go on and on and on.

FH, I have to laugh at that, cause when I first started following TDK, I had a hard time telling you and HM apart. Your “voices” are eerily the same as well as what you had to say. I can tell you apart now, but it was difficult at first!

maybe it’s the sarcasm that drips from both of our mouths. . . 🙂

HM–I bet you don’t answer your door either if you’re not expecting company?

You never can tell, paulajeanne, my family is HUGE and there’s no way I can know them all.

We did almost move to Houston in 1981. . .my father WAS there for a while on ‘business trips’. . . at least that’s what he told my mother 🙂

I don’t answer my door if I’m not expecting company. On my answering machine for YEARS my message advised people “If you didn’t bother to call, don’t bother to knock”

Well, you both have a dry sort of ironic way of talking, and yes, a bit sarcastic at times. You also both seem to have little patience with foolish people!

    I can’t stand idiots–there, I said it. . .why the heck am I a teacher then? 🙂

I don’t have patience for foolish people. I don’t think I’m any better than they are – I just don’t want a whole lot to do with them because I end up hurting their feelings at some point or another.

You’re a teacher because you like helping people. Same reason I became a paramedic.

Should’ve explained further. . .I was a junior in high school in 1981, and we almost moved to Houston before my summer year. Maybe my father wanted to be closer to ‘the other side of the family’? 🙂
