*unable to find the right words… just sends you lots of hugs and prayers*

Thank you all. I went to the hospital last night. He was in a great mood. I did find out that they are going to do another swallow test today. This time under an X-ray so that they can hopefully see what the problem is. Hopefully there is something they can do. When we walked into his room, he asked my husband how he was doing. MeezerRoboto answered with “Pretty good.” To which GrandDad responded, “You might be good but you’re sure not pretty.” Ha! I asked him if he was being ornery with his nurses and he just grinned.

MM, I left a blog on your other site, but for here, remember, I’m here anytime that you need me. Love Ter

I saw that. Thank you Terri. Those comments hit my blackberry so I see them right away. I really appreciate it.

MeezerMama, I hope that as long as your granddad is willing to fight, that the doctors will be able to help him recover. It’s several nasty things to fight all at once, but I suspect he’s well-equipped with a strong will to live – at least as long as he’s able to give the nurses hell.

Hang in there! I hope the biopsy’s successful and leads to a definitive diagnosis.

MeezerMama , I also left a note on your blog. Your grandfather sounds like such a great guy – a real character. It is so great that he still has his sense of humor. Sending prayers, hugs and healing energy!

Many hugs and prayers to you and your family. Sounds like GrandDad is in very good spirits and seems to be okay with everything that is going on. He seems ready to go if it is his time. Only God will decide that and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this trying time. I also put a message on your blog after reading it.

Continued prayers for GrandDad…. he certainly does have a good sense of humor. Gotta love him for that. My dad keeps saying he’s too ornery to die and that Heaven doesn’t want him and Hell won’t have him. 🙂

I hope Granddad continues to maintain his good humour and that you and your family retain your strength to deal with whatever comes.

Thank you all! They did do the biopsy today and he came through fine. We won’t have results until tomorrow

What a wonderful man your Grand Dad is. He seems to have a true zest for life. I’m glad he came through the biopsy well. Keeping you in my prayers for good results.

thank you all! I got several of your comments on my blog that forwarded to my Blackberry. That was so cool. I was sharing with my family about how many people they’d never met praying for them.

This roller coaster ride is so taxing for all of us. One minute they are telling us that it is time to say our goodbyes, the next they are going to try something else and he has a chance to recover. I just don’t know how to feel. Of course I don’t want to lose him, but these ups and downs are just rough.

MeezerMama, prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family. Its hard on the family for this to happen, no matter what the outcome is. The doc’s are playing guessing games on the most part, they just honestly don’t know the majority of the time IMHO. Your granddad sounds like a wonderful man with a great sense of humour even in times like this. Bless this day and enjoy his company.

I know they are doing the best they can. The doctors really are trying to do the right thing. I don’t doubt any of that. Honestly, I wouldn’t want them to handle it any other way. It’s just so frustrating.
