Well, Gabby is spending the night at the vets tonight. I woke up and noticed 3 vomit spots in the living room. She threw up twice more during the day and had diahrrea. I nitified the Humane Society, and they called the vets. They are hooking her up to some fluids and then watch her durimg the night and test a stool sample to see what is wrong. She is 7 weeks old, and I hate knowing that she is hooked uo to an iv, even though I know it will save her life. I will hear back from the vet tomorrow, hopeully with good news. Praying that she will not be too scared at the vets tonight.

Blessings that all goes well for Gabby, Rachel. Poor little one, but if as you mentioned there is someone monitoring her during the night perhaps she won’t be so scared. ๐Ÿ™ Please keep us posted.

Sending white light to Gabby so she feels surrounded with love, and knows that she need not be scared. Hoping she wakes in the morning feeling like her purry self!

Thanks guys ๐Ÿ™‚ I will post an update on what the vet says tomorrow. It has been one of those days where just about everything goes wrong. Koda went back to the Humane Society today and will get fixed tomorrow and then put up for adoption the next day, so it was already stressful having to let him go. It is very quiet in my house tonight with 2 kittens away. Hopefully Gabby will be back tomorrow to liven things up.

Well, I called the vet to check in on Gabby, and they said that she is doing well and will hoxld her for another night only because they are waiting for a stool sample. Still hoping that the test doesnt show anything bad, but so far it sounds good.

That’s good. Ideally by tomorrow she’ll be back in your loving care and getting on with her kitten activities! If I didn’t say it before I’m so in awe of foster purrents like you, it’s an amazing undertaking. My 2nd (current) kit came from a local shelter that has no specific place, overseen by one contact person, but run by an amazing network of foster peeps who set up adoption days where they bring the kits in their care and in my case (for many reasons) several of these generous peeps brought like 10 kits to see which one I’d bond with. They also used my place for website photo shoot, which I was more than happy for, but that was an afterthought.

Gabby is home! After fluids and a new diet, she is feeling much better. She had some gi problems, but there was no sign of a parasite. she is not very happy with her new diet, especially when the other kittens get tasty wet food. But, she is full of energy and is happy to be home ๐Ÿ™‚
