I adopted kitten 4 days ago. He is neutered, 4 month old. So first day he was absolutely good. And then the evening third day, he started to meowing and doesn’t stop. When he is playing, sleeping or eating he’s fine. He used to litter box and already went there a lot of times. I touched his stomach and it was okay. He also had brother at the place where we adopted him, my thoughts can he miss him? I spend a lot of time with him, playing and taking care. I don’t have a vet, and don’t want to pay a huge amount of money to go to one. But nothing helps. Any advice, please?

    Hi Olga,
If you think he is eating, drinking, peeing and pooping okay, then he is probably missing his brother. Cats do miss their family when removed from them, and all we can do is give them extra love and attention. He will eventually get over missing his sibling, and you will become his new family. Like humans, it just takes time. Let him sleep with you–since he is 4 months old, he is big enough to get up and move and not be crushed if you should roll over on him. This is always a concern with little newborn kittens. I think he is just crying for his brother, and only time can help with that.

Please do make sure he has his initial vet visit though. He will need his first shots, and get dewormed as all kittens have parasites. Enjoy him!

You can also get him a soft, stuffed toy. He can snuggle with that and feel comforted.
