Yeah, I took your lead from the other thread to see if we can lure some of our Florida friends here to say hello!

I read that large rats are used as mine detectors. My neighbor was the human version in WWII. He was obviously very good at it – he just told me about it in November when I visited on Veteran’s Day.

Hey, I wonder what ever happened to the giant Lego Guy that washed up in FL a few monthes ago…hmmm…sorry, change of subject but still same theme!

I wanted to go/check him out when Di was still residing there. But since she moved back to Moo country I’ll have to keep an eye out for a siting on Lake MI of newbie Lego MWesterner!

They are awesome neighbors – and cat people too. I have a picture of him holding a tiny kitten while another was climbing up him!

He told me stuff that made me understand why many people don’t talk about war. The stories should never be forgotten, though, and I am glad he shared.

Maybe if our Fla friends stopped by they could enlighten us on the Lego dude!

Aww Joan…created a cute pic w/touching story. Wasn’t little Fle aka Fee Fee from Wknd Main Page a therapy kitten for a Vet too? Ugh, I still don’t care for rats but know some have as pets tho.
