Breast Cancer is a Global Disease and in October the world acknowledges Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We bring an increase in awareness of the disease, cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and a cure. Breast cancer primarily affects women but is also an issue for men and pets. Factors such as diet, exercise, smoking and alcohol use — may raise the risk not only of breast cancer but heart disease, as well. The New York based charity Pink Ribbon Inc. encourages like-minded, affiliated international groups participate in fund raising using the pink ribbon motif. Keep up the fight!

Tks PG and MS – all the pics are so very apropos for such an important theme. Here mammograms are free, guess it’s the same where other TDKers live? Hope so.
I do have to say that the multi-bikini clad kits have me recalling an incident on a much lighter note, think I’ve shared it before. With my first kitty Nicky, well I was giving him a belly rub on his creamy white belly (he was a tuxie) when I noticed – dark lumps!!! In total panic I raced to vet. After they stopped howling with laughter I got a lesson, basically, that these were nipples. “But he’s a boy cat?” Yes, KJ, men have nipples too! They did not even charge me for visit and the whole office was eventually laughing. 😳

I agree 100% KJ. I mean what do the male kits do with them? 😯

The NFL is playing in London today. It’s the Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars. My day has started out very good.

Hi TDKrs! I remember that story, KJ! Hey, you brought levity to the vet’s office, a good thing considering the heartache they deal with.
Comet and Mac were after a mouse last night. No sign of it today, so you can bet they will be on alert this evening! Ironically, there was a dead mouse outside this morning!

Morning all! ….. Sunday dawns bright and busy at the AV house …. Mr. AV has been outside weeding since dawn, for me it’s wash/Hazel day …… we look forward to calling it quits early, then enjoying a festive dinner and watching the Ryder Cup …. have a great day all!
PS …. I hope the Mac/Comet team catch said mousie 🙂

Hoping for a relaxing Sunday here too! I laughed KJ–if I heard that story, I forgot it, LOL! But really, it just makes sense, why have them if you don’t need them… 😆
The ‘sleepy head’ kitten should have had a COA warning! Goodness, adorable!
JJ, I hope your inside mouse became the outside mouse and is no longer a problem! I don’t like mice in the house, but one wouldn’t stand a chance in here as mine would probably not intentionally kill it, but they would play with it until it had a heart attack. They can certainly slip into a tiny crack and hide out until the cat turns its head and then make a run for it! What fun for a cat… 😉

Well I’m just about to tiptoe out of the Café and wrap myself around getting set for holiday. Pouring out, hope that it lets up for tomorrow as my plan is to visit my spin instructor who’s srsly out of commission with pelvis fracture and will be for at least a few weeks yet. Hopefully a chat with KJ will help take her mind off things as I so get the psych component of forced inactivity on a very active purrson. It’s a good long walk there and back and rain or shine I’m going. For sure can’t trust weather peeps anymore.
Tues plan is to take another long walk in diff area to do a customary Rosh Hashanah ritual where certain psalms/writings are recited next to a body of water. The place I go to is a gorgeous park with a large pond or mini-river or whatever.
Back in Café on Tues night after close of the first of a month of holidays.
Have a gr8 couple of days, all!

Hope everyone had the relaxing Sunday they hoped for. I spent the afternoon with mom. Brother went to the NASCAR race in Dover Delaware so she was alone this weekend. Sister lives down the street and was there this morning and for dinner; our MILs visited her yesterday. Technically she can be alone, as her mind is ok and she can get dressed etc, but falls are always a concern. Though she can’t hear well, she likes the company. She won’t wear her hearing aides, says they’re a pain. I told her she will have to decide what is worse, not being able to hear or taking the time to adjust to the hearing aids. Then again, maybe we’ll all learn some basic sign language!
KJ, have a lovely holiday and I wish your friend a speedy recovery.
PG, the Steelers are on fire tonight!
    🙂

Thanks JJ. After last week’s rout by Philly, I’m sure Mike Tomlin had a few words for the team. I’m loving it! I had some herb to celebrate –
