    Hi everyone!

I have had my little kitten for about 5 months now and I love everything about her. First time owning a cat I just want to know if some of this behaviour is normal.

She likes to bite and knaw on my hands. Last night she did a running sprint at me and actually took a big bite at my face!

She always enjoys cuddling with me when she isn’t hyper. She sleeps with me every night and around 7-8 am she purrs non-stop for the hour and cuddles close with me. Then if I don’t wake up she nibbles my ear. Is that normal?

Also she will be getting spayed next Monday. Should I be nervous? Will this change her behaviour?

    Hi Mike,

I apologize for not responding sooner.

Nibbling on ears, as opposed to biting, is a sign of affection. Her behavior is easily changed with patience and love. Since you already love her to pieces that should be no problem. 🙂

Spaying a kitten will help her relax a bit. You don’t need to be nervous though.

I hope your girl does well and let us know what’s happening.
