This am local radio station actually announced that today is “Hug A Newsman Day” and it sounded as if everyone in production booth was ROTFL. Now which newsman should I favour with my affection … “Walk To Work Day”, for me that would be every day LOL. As we say here, my mode of transport is my BMW (Bus/Métro/Walking). 😉

Can’t forget yesterday’s treat as Carmel Popcorn Day!
    carnel popcorn
Caramel popcorn has been enjoyed since the 1890s when brothers Frederick and Louis Rueckheim introduced their molasses-covered popcorn at the World’s Columbian Exposition. But their concoction was too sticky so back to the drawing board they went. After a bit of tweaking, the perfect combination was created and Cracker Jacks were invented!
    cracker jack
    Yum…tradn’l treat at Baseball game!
    Taken from wiki:
Cracker Jack is an American brand of snack consisting of molasses-flavored candy-coated popcorn and peanuts, well known for being packaged with a prize of nominal value inside. The Cracker Jack name was registered in 1896. The slogan “The More You Eat The More You Want” was also registered that year. Some food historians consider it the first junk food. Cracker Jack is famous for its connection to baseball lore.

(Mmmemories of walking thru Sears as a kid & smelling them making a batch of their own Carmel Corn…mom please mom…MOM can we get some?!)
