    If it had been me… and I seen even one weapon, I’d have high tailed it out in a hurry!

    The only time anyone tried to burglarize my house was a couple of years ago in broad daylight. Our garage door was open. Some guy in a very noisy pickup jumped out of his truck, ran into our garage and grabbed the oldest pair of beatup gardening shoes we have. Our neighbor across the street scared him off and got the license plate number. The amazing thing (other than the stupidity of the thief who left more valuable items where they were) is that my daughter was doing a “ride-along” with a cop. They have computer screens in their patrol cars. She saw OUR address come up on the screen and called us very concerned. The cop (a friend of mine) drove to our house to make sure we were OK.

    Cathi: We had a very poor excuse for Mexican food tonight. Even the margaritas tasted bad. I don’t know how this restaurant stays in business. We hadn’t been there in ten or more years and it is located right across from a much better Mexican restaurant.

    It’s bad when the drinks are horrible. I bartended for a (very) small time. The place had terrible food but the drinks were fabulous…

    OK, so I’m partial to my own drinks.

    I’m bored as hell…Excuse the language KM…I could use a couple of shots of Rock-n-Rye about now. And everytime I click refresh another 3 or 4 posts pop up. No wonder there are so many pages.

    Yea, it was quite a shock to me too, Cathi. It would have looked very odd to some outsider as I walked into my place and then started going room to room doing a building sweep. Poor Quazo didn’t know what to make of it “Why is dad walking through the house like that pointing that metal thing into the bedroom?”

    Catwoman, it is better to wake up next to a sock monkey than wake up next to some strage guy 😉

    KW, that’s kind of funny. Maybe he was doing a scavenger hunt 😀

    Someone tried to break into my house a few months ago. I was alone in the house and asleep, and at 3 a.m. the alarm sounded. I got up and looked at the panel, which said “Basement Window.” (Meaning that someone had just opened the basement window!) However, having been woken out of a sound sleep and a little groggy, with the deafening sound of the alarm to boot, without thinking I typed in my code and turned the alarm off! Then I went into the basement! I know, what the heck was I thinking? When I got down there and turned on the light, I saw that the window, which I had left cracked for ventilation, had been pushed up enough for the alarm to go off. I walked to the window and put my hand to it, and realized that someone had CUT THE SCREEN. Then I got scared. Fortunaltely, the guy had run off when the alarm sounded. I highly recommend getting an alarm for your doors and windows just to be safe!

    Nope, a disappointment all around. Plus the waitress got the drink order wrong. Oh well, won’t go there for another ten years or so.

    Tigerpaw, I can’t wait until Kitten Master sets up a reply option for particular comments like we have on the main page. We’ll have to do the best we can until then.

    OK, Catwoman, let’s review. Alarm goes off you..

    A) Turn it off and then go look while you are unarmed.

    B) Call the cops, grab the nearest weapon, and stay put until the cops arive and protect your family.

    C) Do nothing and hope for the best

    D) Grab a shotgun and hunt the intruder down yourself
