I am busier tonight than is usual for a Monday. Of course, starting off with IT working on my mac put me behind, but we are now working faster than ever. Yea.

    Yea, Bobbi,

It just wasn’t the same around here without you! 🙂

I went to my dulcimer club tonight and it was SO good. I learned some new songs and we just had so much fun. The one leader, who cannot make a lot of club nights, was there and has this beautiful dulcimer that was custom made by a fellow down south. It is a dark wood, with swans cut out for the sound holes. It has the most beautiful sound too…. Must have cost lots…. I just have a regular one, but it has a pretty nice sound. Maybe some day if I get rich I can order a special one. I like the dark wood, like walnut for instance. We had walnut trees in our yard in NJ and my dad would make wood frames and vases out of it. Such a pretty wood. Also sassafras wood.

I am excited as the next meeting the one guy will teach us the Carolina break down song. He played it for us once, but we couldn’t get it that quick especially without music. I can’t wait!!

I had a friend here in Dallas who played the dulcimer. Never heard of one until I met her. It is a nice instrument. I have absolutely no talent when it comes to music. But I do appreciate it.

Bumblebee, glad you had a good time at your dulcimer club. I know how you enjoy it! I have heard the sounds of the instrument many years ago. I hope you do one day get rich and get the one of your dreams. Hugs and purrs.

Sandi and M&M’s Mom, my Molly got lost when she was about 2 months old. I was about to leave for work one morning, and always made a point to say good bye to her. Couldn’t find her..anywhere! I even looked in the toilet to see if she’d lifted the lid and fallen in! Opened cupboards, opened closets, you name it, and kept calling. Finally I could hear this faint pitiful meowning, somewhere. I went back down the hall, and there under a bedroom door (that was ALWAYS kept closed were these two little paws outstretched, palms up, under the door waving weakly at me! I was so tramautised I called in sick. Took me the rest of the day to recover!

How did she get into the closet? Mine love to go into my closet, too, but now I always check to see where both of them are before I close the closet door.

It was my guest bedroom and I keep a small freezer in there. Had gone in to get something to thaw for supper and I guess she snuck in and I didn’t realize it. Taught me to pay more attention!

Molly was my first pet (no children) and it gave me a taste for what my mother had gone through when I was 4 and got trike jacked one summer afternoon!

Cats are funny like that. Remember when we inherited Kay’s daughters cats and brought them into our home. Stevie was Terri’s favorite, mine too. Grey, silky cat, loved to heatbutt, didn’t know what it was at the time. Angel, calico, beautiful baby, bit more shy. Lived in an old house. Had one closet in the dining room, don’t ask me, didn’t make the floor plan! Got home one night, Angel sitting outside the door. No big deal, didn’t make a fuss. Heard a meow, opened door, out runs Stevie to the closest litter box! Poor baby, 10 hours, no food, no water, no litter. Didn’t do a thing in the closet, but made us very aware that you count your troops, before you leave the house! We did from that day on, and do to this day! God Bless them both, they are both over the bridge, yet sometimes, I feel them with me. Crazy, maybe, like to think, they come back to comfort me. Watch the babies, they are quick! Hugs and purrs, Lynn

Hey, everyone. I brought pulled pork sandwiches, smoked BBQ beans and lots of ribs.

KW, I am so there! Game stinks, and just want to get out of it. Come on over, girl, bring the food and watch the rest of this disaster! See you in a bit! Hugs and purrs.

Totally have to have coleslaw with that!

Thanks KW, but no meat for me.

I have one cat, Dasher, who thinks he’s my bodyguard. Won’t let my other cats near me (except for his buddy, Caspar). He is so fast at getting into my closet, that I have learned to look specifically for him when I’ve been in there.

He is very quick at rearranging my closet, which, by the way, is barely big enough for me to get into and shut the door.

You got it, Lynn and Paulajeanne! I’ll grab some beverages on the way. See you soon!

Coors light would be good, but will take anything you bring! Hate to be bad to my team, but right now, I don’t know what anyone is thinking. I could call a better game of catch with my 2 cats and their catnip mouses and still be in the endzone!! See you in a bit! Hugs and purrs.

    Lynn,

Hey, what happened at work with Kay and her insurance?? Did she find out anything about the problem yet?? I was wondering all day and thinking about her??
