When we had ‘jersey day’ at school a few years ago, I wore a certain #8 jersey that HAPPENED to have a huge signature from its previous owner across the chest. Did I care that it’s a dirty jersey? No way! I told my nephew (the jersey’s owner) that I washed it after I wore it because it stank and was sooooo dirty. I’m so mean!

I’ve read that some people’s cats turn thier nose up at. There seems to be no inbetween in likeness.

FondaHonda, I confess to having no idea who wore a #8 jersey.

Just giving you a hard time. . .none other than the ever-so-classy Troy Aikman. I’ll slither up next to his sweaty jersey (even if it is a few years old!) anytime!

Crazycatman–no way! My nephew isn’t too bright and is exceptionally gullible!

Same nephew actually believed (for a few years!) that he ate owl at Hooters–isn’t that where they get their name? 😉

FondaHonda, you would never know that I have three sons by my lack of sports knowledge. I *was* interested in games that my own boys were playing in, such as Little League. I have never gotten into watching games on tv or following a team or any of that. Both my brother and sister are sports fanatics. I was always off reading a book!

    Hooter’s!

I got to go there a few years back for the first time. Mom and I were in Vancouver, BC and we were trying to decide which of the vast selection of restaurants we should go eat at. I wasn’t gonna tell her that I wanted to see what it was like there.

Then she was like how about Hooter’s. I’m like uh yeah, as a lesbian seeing some women in tight clothing would be great. Didn’t share that secret thoguh with her.

I did take my son to an Atlanta Braves game this summer, complete with tailgating before the game. I went with my real estate office. It was a lot of fun! Still prefer Georgia Shakespeare or the opera.

CW..I am a fanatical football fan, so this is my time of year, the other sports just bore me. My brother came over last weekend and try to change the channel to the NASCAR Race..arrggghhh!

It would be very difficult to live in the DFW area and not be a Cowboy’s fan! Around here, the best time to go shopping is during a televised game. The roads, and stores, are dead to the world. My parents used to own an ice cream/sandwich shop and no one would come in during game time. We’d be packed during halftime, then no more customers until after the game. My kind of job–time to sit down and watch the game! Those few customers that would wander in practically got growled at and a lot of eye-rolls. Thought about spitting in their ice cream. . .

Ohhh noooo, anything but NASCAR. My apologies to those who like it, but that is DEFINITELY not my cup of tea!

My sentiments, exactly Catwoman! Boring! Why not just watch the last 10 seconds? Too boring for me, unless there are a lot of crashes.

One Saturday I was doing a Lancome event in Athens, Ga. I was bewildered at the huge traffic backup; called my teenage son and asked him to look online to find me an alternate route to Athens from Atlanta. There wasn’t one. I told him there was some kind of traffic jam of cars and trucks with little orange flags hanging off their cars, and some with red flags, and they were all yelling out the windows at each other. My son said, “Well you see, Mom, there is a football team in Athens…perhaps you have heard of the Bulldogs? They have games on Saturdays. Hello!”

    Hi everyone.

I’ve been working! AND it took some time to catch up.

    Catwoman, I’m with you!

I got involved with my kids when they were playing sports, but there it ends. I hear just enough to carry on a conversation about it, but that’s about all.

Glad to see everyone is so peppy tonight.

    Hello everyone 🙂

It’s such a beautiful, chilly, fall night here. I’m supposed to be in class, but the teacher never showed up for my first class and I didn’t feel like waiting around for over 2 hours for my next one. Nu-uh, no way!

    🙂
