    Great, 2 babies, Bobbi and now Dorie! Ok, Mama only has 2 knees, if anyone else out there is the baby, we need to find out where to put you! KW, I hear ya, everything I did was bad, as the others came along,it was ok. Talk about mixed signals?! I survived, cause the age difference in my family was alot. 5 years between me and the next sister, and 11 between her and the baby. Hated being the oldest and held up to the standards. Got out at 18 baby sister was 2. Got married had my son at 19, only 3 years between him and the baby sister, talk about a mess! Couldn’t understand why my mom didn’t like her “Grandson”. Couldn’t cause she had a child in the house about the same age. So lives the life of a much older sibling.

    Kitten Whisperer-are you still there? I had to leave for a little while because my brother and his lady just stopped in for a visit, and I figured I’d better turn off the computer rather than be rude!

    The reason I asked if you heard custody cases is because my sister is having terrible problems with her ex. Are custody laws different in every state?

    When Sandi was born I was 16, she was born in July. When I went back to school rumors started that she was mine. At the time, had boyfriends, they disapeared like crazy, Gee wonder why. When my then husband was dating me, there was Sandi in the bassinet in the living room. Hard to explain that one away! Actually showed him her birth certificate to prove it wasn’t mine. Mom and Dad did that! So you can understand how back then, we are talking the early 70’s, things weren’t like they are now. Mama

    My youngest sister was born when I was a junior in high school, and I just loved taking care of her. I used to write to a friend in the Air Force, and had sent him a picture of me holding her, which he put in his locker. He told me once years later than he was being reprimanded for something he had/hadn’t done, and the CO noticed the picture and said “Oh, got a wife and kid at home, huh? Well, I’ll let you go on this one!” He said he was so glad he had that picture!!! I was married when she was only 3, so I didn’t share much of her growing up years. Now, we are the closest ones in the family.

    Hi, M&MM. I’m sorry your sister is having problems with her ex. Custody laws can vary from state to state. I hope your sister has access to an attorney to find out what her options are.

    Ok, looks like that chats are winding down, as they should, cause you kids need to go to bed. Except those on the west coast who will be shown this on tape!! Sorry, just had to do it! Loved chatting with you all. Bumblebee, got you for a minute and lost you. Hope all is well, my PA buddy.

    Yes, KW, she has a good attorney. They have been divorced for some time, and they have joint custody of their son, Niko, now 12 years old. The ex just dragged her back into court to try to get sole custody, saying that it is Niko’s choice. I didn’t think a 12 year old could choose which parent he wanted to live with. Anyway, I don’t believe Niko has said that, neither does my sister. Her ex actually brought Niko into the courtroom today, which was a very uncomfortable situation for all. Michael shadowed Niko everywhere he went so that Jody couldn’t talk to him at all. He’s such a jerk!!

    Wow, your sister had a rough day, MMM. Did she have anyone with her to provide her some moral support? Must have been tough on Niko too. I don’t like to see kids put in a spot where they feel responsible for both parent’s happiness.

    I’m sorry to leave at this point, but my son and his girlfriend need a ride home. I’ll check back after I get back home, but I expect some/all of you may be asleep by then. Sleep well. Set those burdens down for a few hours.

    I’m not sure, Bobbi, but there will be another hearing in October. My sister is getting married on Oct. 13, and I think the jerk is trying everything he can to put some kind of hurdle in her way. He cannot fathom that anyone would leave him and go to someone else and be happy. There is really something wrong with this man. Before the divorce was final and she was living alone, I feared for her. Too many gory stories on TV, but so much truth in them.

    I think with her lawyer and her husband by her side, Jody will get through this. I truly believe the Judge will see what that man is trying to do and deny sole custody.
