    I’m at work too and about to be slammed with a bunch of criminal cases for settlement conferences and/or changes of plea and sentencing. We are short-handed right now with the recent retirement of two of our 15 judges.

    Sorry to hear that you are tired, Bobbi. Did you not sleep well today?

    Happy “Talk Like a Pirate Day” to all. I hope everyone had a chance to practice their piratitude today. The two men who started “Talk Like a Pirate Day” live in Oregon. I met them at a book reading event about a year ago when their book about Piratitude was released. They were a hoot dressed in full pirate regalia.

    My students got a kick out of ‘Talk like a pirate day’. When every class came in, I said (loudly), “Ahoy, maties!”. I told them about this day, and they all got a kick out of it. Some tried to keep up the lingo during the entire class, but it’s awfully hard when you’re talking about factors and products!

    I did start to read the piratitude thread. Sounds fun, but I couldn’t get any of the links to work right. It could be because of our firewall here.

    Pooooooor Zippy for the pain! At least he’s a kitty with character! He didn’t get her pregnant and just leave her, did he? No, he’s a respectible kitty who isn’t going to shirk his responsibilities. He’s hanging around to help out the mother of his ‘maybe’ children. That’s a kitty with class! Hey, he’s so classy he wears a tuxedo!

    For a moment there, I thought you were going to say that he sits in the recliner in his underwear(scratching, of course!), demanding another beer, wanting to be waited on hand and foot, and channel surfing with the remote!

    I want to come back as Zippy in my next life! Actually, I’d love to be reincarnated as one of my own cats! They don’t know just how good they’ve got it! Eat, sleep, romp a little, poop, pee, eat, eat (Bosley, anyway!), sleep,get some lovin’, eat, sleep, poop, you get the drill!
