We took in a 4 week old kitten, whos mother was ran over. The woman that have her to us, sent puppy formula with her. Which shes not wanting to drink. I am going this morning to buy her kitten replacement formula, since it was so late when we got her. She is being bottle fed, any advice on the task to come with her? When to wean her? She has all her teeth in.

please DO NOT get the Hartz brand kmr. that brand has killed lots of kittens. if you can’t find KMR, goat’s milk can be found in the baking section of any store. dilute it 1 to 1 as it is condensed. good luck with your kitten !!!

Thanks for rescuing this wee kittah. It is best to give her Goat’s milk. It’s easier on her tummy and has probiotics which she would have received from her mom. You can find it in the baking aisle or the fridge section.

Here’s a few links to help you out. If you still have concerns, just ask.

Hey Sierra! Thanks for rescuing this new baby! Good advice above from PG and Cheri, and I am going to add a couple of links that are full of information on hand rearing kittens too.

Goat’s milk is so much cheaper and easier to use than KMR. You can also find it in the cold milk section in the groceries, as well as the baking aisles of the same stores, even Walmart. Keep us posted on your progress, good luck! Kittens usually aren’t weaned until the 8 to 10 week age to answer your original question!
