    Hey,
I am worried now, my kitty (9 months old) is always sleeping for the whole day. She is becoming lazy and I want to change her. She was not like that before, she used to play balls and climb down the stairs and was restless. We had changed our home recently (it is a small house compared to the old one). Our new home had no stairs and a little bit congested. I am in doubt whether the inactiveness found in the kitty is due to sudden change. It is difficult for me to get back to the old home (some personal issues had occurred). So I planned to design a staircase (similar to the one I had in my old house ), I meant something like circular stairs for my pet. I heard from my friend that she had designed and developed some kitchenwares from the Spark Innovations, Ontario (http://www.sparkinnovations.com/) but I am not sure whether they develop a toy staircase for my pet. It will be good if someone suggests me a custom design centres. Also, suggest me some tricks to get back my kitty. I am looking forward to your replies.

    Hi Max,

I don’t think your girl is getting lazy, per se. Cats will sleep 16-20 hours a day so it sounds like she’s growing up. The change in environment could have a little effect. I recommend getting a her a tall cat tree. This is a good way to play with her. Pick up some mouses in rabbit fur and some catnip.

Because cats will sleep so much, it falls to you to initiate play. If you play during the day, it will burn energy so she’ll sleep at night.

Max? Easy solution. Walks! You may not need a harness. Try just a chihuahua collar and leash. If you startem young the harness isn’t needed. Mines 5 months and he loves to get fresh air. Stimulates the senses and if you have places where the grass is u treated the grass is good for cats too. Yuri stopped playing so much too but he has favorites. Shoestrings, his boxes and balls. Yeah…some things are gonna go by the wayside but some will stay. Find his niche. Moving is change. Did you make sure your kittens familiar things came with you?
