I can not take it anymore. I cant have a cat that pees on my blankets.I dont know what kind of litter she likes,I finally figured out that she will only eat meow mix. I have had it.

Does any one want a slightly used kitty she will be a year old in march and she is beautiful, I love her. I just do not know what to do.What cat litter does your cat like? what about those self cleaning cat boxes? do those work?

Nmwjmw, have you taken your cat to the vet yet, to make sure there’s nothing else wrong? Usually the first sign of a urinary tract infection is peeing somewhere besides the litterbox. Peeing outside the litterbox can also be symptomatic for bladder stones and other problems.

I second what anncetera2 says. Take your kitty to the vet and get her checked out, generally cats are very clean and hate peeing where they shouldn’t.

Ditto…the kitten may well need a vets attention…treatment for a urinary infection can make all the difference in the world..Cats are very specific about their litter place and for one to lose continance anywhere..could need antibiotics of some sort. Please call a vet for advice.Your kitty wants to be good, and wants you to be proud…she just may not feel well. Good energy to you in this dilema….

I have a couple of cats who are incorrigible sprayers. They absolutely will not stop doing it. As a last resort, they have to live outside. On the other hand, Wolfie turned out to have a urinary tract infection and stopped peeing in unauthorized locations after being on antibiotics for awhile. I would lock the cat in a small room with just the litterbox, bed and water (feeding her also of course) for a week or so until she is used to the litterbox as her only choice. Then open the door and she should come back to the litterbox to pee.
