Everyday when I get home, I’m in such a hurry to get to the bathroom because I’ve been on a bus for 2 hours – no time to stop and I drink 3 liters of water while I’m at work.

Huddy ALWAYS wraps himself around my ankles, nearly causing me to fall down and possibly bust my fool head open.

And I love him so much – why is he trying to kill Mama?

He is just REALLY HAPPY to see you come home! You are supposed to stop and pet him first, (I guess he is still trying to train you properly 😀 )

He probably thinks you should have used the litter tray before leaving work..!!!

HM, he isn’t trying to kill you. He’s saying “Remember me? I’m the one who had to stay here all alone.”

LOL My Chloe does the same thing. She has amazing ears… I can be downstairs watching TV and I’ll get up to use the ‘litter box’ and she is upstairs and will make a bee-line to the bathroom! I don’t know how she knows I’m going that direction and not to the kitchen.. but she does. Captive audience for pets I suppose LOL

Hey HM – love the title! There are times when I think the boys are trying to kill us, but then maybe they figure no one will be there to feed them, clean the litter box, pour fresh water, pick up the crunchies that they spit out of the bowl, clean up hair balls, wash their bedding, etc…

BAD Huddy, do NOT kill your Mama (or Momma? I’m confused now). Bobsky will first try to escape out in nature when I try to squeeze myself in the door and then proceed to try and block the way to the bathroom. He does love hanging out in the bathroom with his Mama!

Ooooh, and the Bob has made a new discovery – an ice pack! What FUN! His Mama was icing her ankle last night and the little guy came up and started sniffing at the ice pack. Then he went on to sit and swat and bat at it for a while. Finally he attacked! He bit the towel that was wrapped around the ice pack and tried taking off with it – which is not easy when ones’ Mama’s foot is on it!

    I’m surehe’ll try again tonight!

I have 12 that live with me and at least half of them meet me at the door everyday. An if I don’t speak to Booger first he gets his nose out of joint. Most of the ones that meet me at the door, then follow me to the bathroom. Gotta love them babies!!!

It’s such a mystery to me why bathrooms are so fascinating to cats. Having a full feline audience in that particular room was somewhat disconcerting for me at first. But after seven years with my cats, if there isn’t at least one of them present for the proceedings I wonder if something’s wrong.

I am sure it’s all excessive love, you spend your day outside having fun with all the other cats while poor Huddy faithfully sits at home with no food, no water, no toys… Just wasting away. [sigh]

What else would that loyal lil’ love bug do when you finally come home?

Jerrie used to run around my legs every time I went downstairs – it is amazing that we never had any serious accidents. We did have a few accidents where he would run INTO me – in the evening when he would go into “full-tilt-crazycat-bouncing-off-the-walls” mode. Jerrie had an extremely bad case of earmites when I rescued him; it wrecked his inner ear balance. He compensated by having a permanent head tilt, which usually worked pretty well, but sometimes he would go out of control and run into things, like people…and other cats…and walls… Two years later, I still miss the crazy guy.

You do know that it is the cats responsibility to make sure we trip over them at all times when moving through one’s home?

Sylvester is always at the front door when I come home and I must scratch or rub his head in greetings otherwise he pouts. You have to squeeze yourself through the door otherwise he tries to escape.

Also, I am not allowed to go to the bathroom by myself as Sylvester must think he has to supervise all activities in that room. God forbid if I close the sliding door to the bathroom in the main bedroom. He will stuff his paws under it and I bat at them to tease him. Also, when I go to take a shower I must follow his routine, put the bathmat down, open shower door, let Sylvester roll around in the shower stall while I rub his belly and scratch his head causing him to go into a purring frenzy. I then must allow him to go sit up on the sink area while I take my shower. Once I am done and I must first meow at him (yes I actually meow at him) and then give him a kiss and scritchies before I am allowed to towel off.

From time to time I have almost stepped on him while moving around in the kitchen but he has since learned to sit on the edge of the kitchen area which opens up to the living room.

How true, How true. This is too funny – and SO accurate!!!

    #57665

Why is it that our cats give us reproving looks after we nearly trip over them? Mine don’t try to avoid being stepped on even at night when all the lights are off! Somehow they make ME feel guilty! 🙂

I can’t tell you how many times I have either stepped on or almost stepped on Tikka! In the morning she will usually come upstairs once she hears one of us up and moving around. If I am the first one up I have the privilege of escorting the little princess down the stairs. First she has to stop and claw at the newell post at the top of the stairs. So then I have to move her away and tell her ‘No!’ (Fat lot of good that does!). So then I start down the stairs while she waits at the top. When I am about half way down, she starts charging down the stairs and at that point I just freeze. I’m sure that if I just kept going she would race between my legs and we’d both end up in a heap at the bottom!

I have steeped on Pipa’s tail a few times already poor little cat.

It goes something like this: I am happily going my own way doing stuff around the house being supervized by Melon and suddenly!

    MEEEEEOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

    Followed by a bloodcurling

    AAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

    And then quickly a:

Sorry Pipa sweetie, did I hurt you?, don’t get cross please! come on Pipa sweetie come out from under the bed Mommie didn’t mean to hurt you… Sorry Pipa!

And this goes on and on until Pipa decides she has let me suffer enough and comes out from underneath my bead and gives a soft forgiving headbut.

That hollering meow will one day give me a heart attack!

Making me laugh causes more non-stop coughing but its worth it to read the comments here….thanks everyone…I have resorted to using night lights in the hallway so when I get up @ o’dark thirty I don’t miss the errant kitty lying in the hallway (ok it doesn’t work all the time) >^..^<
