Wow, I go away for a bit and all this news…

KC, I am sure your son will understand when you tell him you want to take care of the cats, with shots and so on, it’s for their good and health.

GD, thank goodness you got rid of XBF. You don’t need anyone who doesn’t care for animals, just sees a $ sign. I hope Bobby is feeling better. We love him just the same!!!!

WWM, I hope you had a great time this weekend and glad to see the girls are so mellow now about you leaving, especially Windi!

KarenCentennial, there’s an inexpensive enzyme cleaner sold at places like PetsMart; it runs about $10/gallon. I’d strongly recommend getting a gallon of it, because it will help clean up any spraying that Buddy does. Just be generous when you use it. In the winter, when I can’t take litter boxes outside to hose them clean, it’s what I use to wipe down the inside of my cat litter boxes, before filling back up with clean litter. It’s amazing stuff!

I’m pretty sure he will understand, but if he doesn’t then it’s good he moving back home for awhile so I can teach him responsibility all over again! I know that there have been times when these two cats have been the only one there for him and the least he can do is make sure they are healthy.

Thanks, Ann. I will be learning a lot of new things – it’s been so long since I have had cats – I don’t know the prices of things like food, litter, etc., it will be interesting to say the least, but before I had Richard and then the kids, I had cats and I know they need to be cared for and loved just as much as people. I don’t think I’m going to be able to change Richard’s mind with these two cats, though – he still won’t want any when these move on with John to the new apartment (whenever that will be!) And when he see all the neat toys and houses, etc., that money can be spent on, he’ll probably want to lock the checkbook up!!

CM, he does like animals, but they are just not high on his list of priorities. I’ve seen him countless times playing with his 14 year old cat and though he complains, I know he likes the company.

I just emailed with him back and forth a bit. He helped me set up a small company where I can put gym work, dog-sitting, book-selling and everything else onder one category, and he’s an officer in the company. When I started up a bank account for the company, he took me to Wachovia, because that’s who he usually deals with. Well, Wachovia has not been doing well and is now being taken over, so I sent him an email and asked how we should proceed. He’s going to be looking for another bank for me, just in case.

He does come in handy and I’m still counting on him to get me the heck out of the gym. My relationship with him didn’t work, but he has been very good about helping me out with things, so I can’t complain about that!

Karen, hopefully at least the female can come inside for visits and socialization. I am glad that you are enabling your son to be able to keep his furbabies while he is in this transition phase.

GD, How is Bobby doing on his meds? Since XBF didn’t enquire after his health, I shall. Hugs to your boys.

At least it worked out friend wise, and he can help you out on things. That’s nice. Sometimes they are better friends than anything else!

How is Bobby doing? Other than chasing Mi around 🙂

Both the cats love being around people and actually since I work at home they will see someone all day long and only be alone in the garage overnight – unless my son decides to sleep out there with them – we’ve been told that we’ll “crimp his style”!!! As if being parents didn’t “crimp our style”, but we never said anything like that to him! We love the kids but enjoy them not being around now that they think they are grown!

Until they get to tweens/teens having them crimp your style is fun – then watch out! At least with boys, anyway.

Did you get to see him at least? I hope you were able to give him lots of love.

KC, I don’t even want to think of teen years with 2 daughters…oh boy…

cm, you have a long way to go before then and since I didn’t have any girls to compare boys to, maybe it will be more fun, too! We like to bring out the old videotapes and show the boys every few years how much fun they were when they were little – they like to deny they were ever like what they see – Thank God for Blackmail Tapes!!!!

GD, XBF really ought to know by now how important Bobby and Milo are to you. For him to say getting rid of your cat because he is too expensive is really sad. I laughed when WWM mentioned using the furminator with XBF. To some people money is everything and to others it is not. It is what makes you happy that counts. I know that I feel better when I have enough money in my bank account to pay my bills and still have extra for something such as a trip to visit friends or to buy a new LCD TV as well be able to save some money for that rainy day. I just am looking forward to the day when all of my bills/debts are paid and I can save more as well as travel more. Right now, a new TV, new furniture, etc. is on a wish list.

It is Monday, ugh. Upstairs neighbors woke me up at 2:51am with their noise. What they were doing up at the time I have no idea. So I don’t feel rested. I guess I will try to go bed early tonight (good luck with that as with all the new shows on TV, I will find something to keep me up).

Thinking positive for Metsa’s Sultan. Hope they are able to help him. GD, how is Bobby doing on his meds? Give him some scritchies and hugs. Ladykat, glad to hear your knee is on the mend and your tooth isn’t bothering you so much now.

Morning everyone! College is closed today, so I’m catching up on all my homework and studying. I have two exams this week! I have some tea on the stove because I woke up with a very dry throat this morning.
