Oh my, arm rest kitty is the cutest thing I’ve seen in a while! Wish I was camping…lol.

I’m taking a quick breather between cat and human dental appts. Got Emily loaded up with the help of three pieces of kibble. She isn’t supposed to have hard food for another week, but I thought the ends justified the means. Her mouth looked great. Then they said, “Okay, we’ll see you in another week for one last recheck.” Oldest son was like “No, tell them no, mommy.” Poor thing, this really has been so stressful for everyone. He cried in the car on the way home. An 8 am appt only disrupts our school routine for 20-30 minutes, but he feels it. He gets so stressed about getting his work done. Anyways, we might cancel the second recheck. I think from our reaction (mine wasn’t much better than son’s) they might be expecting that…lol.

KJ, I did think of you and the dangers of cat bites when trying to open Leo’s mouth. That’s why we didn’t force the issue. We’ll let the professionals deal with it tomorrow.

Morning all, oh my, love the pics…those kitty scouts are the cutest and again so is the arm rest kitty!
ECB, I’m with you, ENOUGH ALREADY! Being cat vets, do they not know how stressful it is just to load a cat in a carrier? Except my Simba, who is waiting for me at the bridge, as he would jump into the carrier excited he was getting to go for a ride. In fact, he would just let me carry him to the car and loved sitting in the passenger seat with someone holding him looking out the window. He was a dog-like cat. I feel so bad for your son too. πŸ™ Poor little guy.

    Morning all!
I’m with you ECB, too bad they don’t offer house calls for last appt. And glad that my woeful cat bite exp was worth something if only to warn others that even one’s well-loved house kit has mouthful of *unfluffy* bacteria.
Arm rest kitty looks like Dorry’s campin’ cuzzin, cause you won’t see KJ campin’ anytime soon LOL.I like the Adventure Kitten Gear (that kitty looks like Dorry too, as in why have I not thought of getting him modelling job,) esp the boots! Wonder if I can find me a pr for trailing through the city streets. Then again I actually have 2 prs of faux Timberland’s same as adult’s, kid sized, way cheaper, for sure did not pay $130. πŸ˜‰

Wow…human dental appt stressful too. Youngest son had to do ortho, dental, ortho to get wires removed for cleaning then put back on. Then he was in tears because he had a good bit of build up on his front bottom teeth. He works REALLY hard brushing, flossing, and water picking every night so that made him feel like a failure. Hygenist who cleaned his teeth was super good with him, though. Teeth are cleaned and braces adjusted for another month, so yay.

We’re off to clean our easy condo this afternoon, then I’ll need a virtual cocktail or two. :).

Hey KJ I wish Mr B would listen to you he plays so rough with Noodle and he allows Noodle to bite him all the time! I always give out but Mr B says I’m trying to interrupt boys time!

ECB poor Emily! Have to agree with your son and KZ .. How much stress is worth it?

Well ScarFace is in the vets right now so I’m waiting for a phone call with blood results before we do any more for him .. I’ll let ye all know when I know what’s going on

I’m so sorry to report the ScarFace has crossed over to the meadow πŸ™

Unfortunately I had suspicions were proven correct and he tested positive for FeLV πŸ™ he wasn’t neutered so it wasn’t Chunky..

He had a possible bone infection in his right leg.. He was scabby all over and his ears were showing the first signs of skin cancer from sun exposure.. It was for the best he would have only spread the virus amounts other cats and I’ll have to get Dr Jekyll and Ms Hyde tested over the next few weeks to make sure they have the all clear. …

He was under sedation when he was PTS so he felt nothing and he’d ha a lovely dinner of tuna last night something I’m sure he rarely got.

I’m upset but I know I did the best thing for ScarFace .

Oh I’m sorry about Scarface, Buttons. That tuna dinner was in all likelihood the last thing he remembers. Buttons and Bob are probably getting acquainted with him now. They will all wait for you, as you helped Scarface when he needed help the most.
Camping kitty is adorable! That would be Comet if he had his way, except he would want to play with a bear rather than skeedaddle. Unfortunately for him, when I do take him out on his harness, we just stay on the back step as I want to keep his possible exposure to fleas and tics to a minimum. He usually just sits and looks out at the yard anyway, doesn’t seem to want to go walking. And being the daughter of the ultimate Boy Scout, I love the Cat Scouts!
Wow, you’ll be glad to get the dental stuff in the rear-view, ECB. {{{Emily}}} Poor son, I wish he didn’t feel like a failure. I had the old fashioned braces and it’s awfully tough to keep teeth clean. And as another cat-bite survivor, I agree with all of you about not sticking one’s fingers in a cat’s mouth.
It’s getting hot here too, and looking to go into another heat wave this week.
Neighbor and I hit the trail today, roads actually. We go up and down all the dead ends in the community and look in the windows of the empty houses! One of the neighbors over on the side where I live was outside packing her son up for school and she showed us her house. She is only here for the summer and her house is ADORABLE! It’s cozy and cute and laid out a little quirky, which most houses are here, plus it has a beautiful little sunroom and a tiny secluded backyard. She has a combo of old and rustic and new, which is similar to my house, but mine is 2 floors – the downstairs being old and rustic and upstairs new and airy.

Sneaking in for a few minutes of RR on purrfect patio.
Hey Tux…let’s just DO It! πŸ™‚
Hey Joan, sounds like a fun day today. Your home sounds charming too!

It’s sad when our furries pass to RBBridge. But, if suffering – they are in the best place for will meet again when Heaven Meets Earth!

    Enjoy the R&R, JK!
Forgot to mention a few friends we met along the way today. No, not bears! First we met up with Snowy, a pretty black kitty with white paws. They named her Snowy because her legs and feet make her look like she is walking in snow. Then we saw Brenda, a beautiful petite diluted tabby with lots of grey and white and peach stripes and most envious eyeliner. She has a super loud purr and walked up the street with us for a while.

Aw, kitteh companions on walk = purrfect.
Visited our n’hood’s Miss Leela yesterday!
Neighbor has once stray Diva as Leela/dilute tortie.
Sweet & friendly kit – goes outside w/hoomin daddy on weekends.
She has a bro-in-fur as Duncan, he only peeks outside/stays on porch! πŸ™‚

1/2 more day of this fun & than freedom for 9 days! πŸ˜‰

    Thanks Joan!
I hope to peek in one/two times from Up North’s Library.
    Taking trio as traveling/vaca companions.
Will chill out w/them as RR but do have some KP to do before close up for Season!
It is to warm up next couple of days so plan on leaving earlier in AM before heats up.
Yes, the AC will be cranking in the car for All of us!
It’s usually bit cooler farther north – have fans and lots of windows to open.
No AC…usually do not need it/paws crossed as hopeful!
It’s to cool down by next weekend again…
OK, still have to do month’s end…later!

    Have a great vacation, JK.

So fun to see neighborhood cat friends, Joan.

Forgot to say earlier, KZ, that it’s too cool you had a cat who loved car rides! We should all be so lucky.

So, knowing now that they like to do two rechecks…at 1 and 2 weeks…I rescheduled Leo’s one week recheck from Tomorrow til Friday to split the difference and only go on once. Eko’s is still scheduled for Wed.

So sorry for Scarface not making it Buttons. Like you, I wanted everything to be alright for him. Logically I guess that it is in that he passed with a full tummy and in the aura of your love. As opposed to being off outside somewhere and perhaps hungry and in pain. On an emotional level, it’s just darn sad. πŸ™ Play hard in the Meadow, Scarface, you’ll find lots of friends, lots of noms and no more pain.

Have a terrific vaca JK and don’t do too much KP. You know when you say “Up North”, I can’t help but think of LJB’s “The Cat Who …” series which was located somewhere North of everywhere. Loved those books, sorry that she passed on.
Joan, I figured that you’d get a kick out of the scouting kits, that pursuit being close to you. Nice to meet purry n’bors, I name owned/feral kits in n’hood sometimes. Yesterday, I saw a lovely grey/white moo kitty. I’m afraid to get too close, but I do stop and talk to them and don’t give a d**n what anyone thinks!
Might sound weird, but when I was a kid, with perfectly straight teeth, I actually wanted braces! Seems like everyone was away every other afternoon for ortho appt and some kids would get parents to schedule them so kids could chat in waiting room as everyone went to same specialist. Just one more way (among so many ways) that I did not fit into the private school that I unfortunately was sent to. *Sigh*
Stressed, just ’cause so the (good) Hazel in me took over. Made batch of muffins, tossing in apple/squash/carrot baby food along with other usual addy’s. And made other stuff as decided D/w needed workout so might as well fill ‘er up. And changed over all bedding for new look. Kit bedspread is getting a rest until Fall/Winter.
