I do recall the time when we were all wrapped up in the “Is Paul (McCartney) dead?” rumour. Supposedly The album cover for “Abbey Road” and listening to “I Am The Walrus” played backwards told the tale. LOL

‘Shiver me timbers’ ….. I’m alive! … LOL … yes, we survived! …. actually a fairly ‘non-incidential’ year, only had to run a few guys out of the alley, ‘peeing’ in the bushes …. *sighs* ….. always a few ….
Miss Caddy was safely stowed in the golf shed, with her comfy blankie and didn’t seem to be too upset about being confined! I’m sure she was confused by all the noise, but knowing nothing could get to/hurt her probably made her more chill

Son took off this morning to head back west, and took Ve with him …. I have Lu for the next few weeks until he can come back and get her …. airlines only allow one travel animal per person …. poor girls are not used to being apart, so I will have to make sure I give Lu extra attention …. Abby and her have a ‘hissy’ relationship between the screen door ….

Monday dawns bright and busy for me, looking forward to traversing up north to see Dau this weekend! have a great day all!

Just dropping by to say ‘hello’, please don’t forget me!! I am with you in spirit more than you know. I am progressing very well, so the physical therapists tell me. I guess it’s only been a week, but I am walking with no pain, and doing exercises to ‘wake’ my muscles up–the ones that went dormant for so long. It’s amazing to me how resilient the human body can be. I am so very grateful and for so many things. One of them is TDK. 😀

The pics today are so sweet. Oh, and if you could only see how my kitties are trying to nurse me back to health! They constantly want to be on my bed (whether I’m in it or not) — I have one downstairs for now. As soon as I get up, they get in to keep it warm, of course. They make biscuits on me, purr, lick me and are the best nurses I’ve ever had!

Goodness it’s been quiet in the Café today! The Staff and Agency kitties must have unplugged efurrything!

My day started at 5:23 a.m. when I awoke to fact that Dorry had hacked up a hairball – on the bed. 🙄 Which saw me doing laundry and changing flat/fitted sheets (fortunately duvet cover was not affected) at that way early hour.

Then caught few more zzzz’s, went to gym as per – awesome, wish this instructor taught efurry wk, instead of alternating with guy I can’t stand, hence my DIY class. Then N. came by. I was about to change up LR draped as she’d just hemmed them. She wouldn’t let me climb ladder, even with her here. So she hung them and I so appreciate her caring about me.

Also made gr8 headway in putting latest sweater together as in front/back joined and neckline done. Now for the sleeves which go rather quickly. Then in about 2 hrs I can whip the thing together and it’s on to the next one! 🙂 Might just be rib knit dress which is complicated so will take longer, will see if I want a challenge. If not ready, there are like 34 more projects to choose from LOL.

Freezing out, but if I get dressed propurrly I do quite well. At least it’s sunny and not icy.

Back in hr or so to open tomorrow’s Café.

So glad that you are making such gr8 progress. And to think – your surgery was just a wk ago! IMHO the main thing is to follow physio advice to the letter and to do all the assigned exercises.

I have been in physio for stuff and had to be stopped from overdoing it. But I was back to my advanced wkt in record time. Others that I know of did nothing except when physio was there. Consequently they were left with remnants of their surgery/injury etc. Sorry for being so preachy and I sense that you see things the way that I do in this regard. I must want you to be 100%.

If I do not hear from you in the Café I will contact you offline. That’s not a threat. Hehehe! 😉

Keep on doing well.

Ah yes, I remember the tale of playing records backwards. I never did though, didn’t want to ruin my vinyl records.

Hello KZ! So happy you have qualified feline nursing care and that pt is going well.
Eww, hairball on bed, not cool, Dorry. How nice of N to handle hanging drapes for you. A sweater dress sounds lovely. I had one years ago that I loved.
Getting mighty cold here too. The local fire department had an emergency drill out on the main road of the community earlier tonight. I watched for a few minutes, then decided it was too cold to watch them stand around talking and going in and out of an empty rundown log cabin. My neighbor on the other side of the lake called me to ask where the fire was; happy to hear there wasn’t a fire at all. She said she smelled smoke. I said, “that’s everyone’s woodburners, you know that!”

Well this is the aforementioned dress JJ. With the Michelle Pfeiffer lookalike model. It will hang way diff on me as I am so not as well endowed in effurry way. LOL. The yarn that I chose is “Asphalt” almost black but not quite.

Dorry is forgiven, as in right after hairball incident happened and fresh sheets are fun when unexpected.

I too did not play my records backwards. Would they not get scratched/ruined? Purrhaps there was a “secret” msg. 😉

PG, I paid no heed to the COA for dreaming kit – and have just come ’round! 😉 But well worth it!
