Is it the computer mouse, to be chased around the mousepad? Or is it real live mice? Or both?

    Yep-it’s Monday.

Mom? Mom? Mooommm! I love it

Miss Gaea is so proud of her hunting prowess. She used to bring me mouses in the houses and couldn’t understand why I put them back outside. ๐Ÿ™ I ‘splained to her that while I appreciate her efforts I would rather watch her play with them on the lawn. This our truce. ๐Ÿ™„

Night All and have a happy~

Good Monday morning everyone! AV, so glad that son is safe from travels to see gf. Now they can be face to face and work it out. Also glad that Walter is a member of the family, and has fit in so well with Dude. IMHO boys are so much more accepting than girl cats..I have no idea why, even after having both all of my life. ๐Ÿ™„

If a mouse makes into my house, it would die of fright with these 5 knuckleheads….they would scare it to death by playing with it. I remember when Avery could barely talk and she found one that had died of fright in the living room where Willow had left it after it had a heart attack. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Happy Monday all! …. yeah, it helps my nerves that Son checks in every day ….

I totally agree with you KZ, I have found boy cats to be much more accepting of a new buddy than girls …. After a few tussels, Walter quickly deferred to Dude as the alpha, and now worships him! LOL …. Dau says they constantly groom each other, which is another good sign of acceptance.

I remember that story KZ. I still laugh thinking about it. ๐Ÿ˜†
I glad Son is working out his life situation.

Girl kits are just like that esp. if it’s another girl kit. Trust me, it is not good. After all these years, Miss Gaea still isn’t sure she wants Miss Moppet in the house.

    Goin’ swimming

Well KZ, don’t quite know what Dorry’s reaction would be, but if a mouse made an appearance at my place, the knucklehead known as KJ would have a complete panic attack! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

My ebay Sony Walkman arrived just one week after I ordered it! Seems to be OK. Service excellent.

Suddenly we’re getting warmer weather again – no complaints here, but I closed windows and turned A/C back on.

    PG, enjoy your swim! ๐Ÿ™‚

Caddy is a great mouser! Our historic home is built up on a 24″ crawl space, and even though it has lattis skirting around it, critters could get in. There are small gaps at the corners, and when we first brought Caddy home, she would go under the house to ‘hide’ from the strange cars and dog/walkers that always walk bye (she’s used to all now, and just sits on the porch step or her perch and watches things go bye) but she still goes under there (it’s her safe zone), and I get a ‘present’ every now and again. More when she first came, but still every so often now! ….

Abby is my inside hunter – not a lizard or roach stand a chance with her on patrole ….

Another wet soggy day here, time for me to feed Caddy her ‘porch’ dinner so she doesn’t have to go out in the rain to get to her shed with the crunchies! Have a great evening all!

Just finished watching “The Imitation Game” – fantastic film, although my eyeliner is not 100% waterproof as pkg states – I think that you get my meaning.

Walkman works well point in time. Thought that it included AC adapter, read downloaded manual, item is xtra. Would cost me more than the player so while a fun idea might just stick with batteries.

New hot air brush was a good plan. Gym cohort in “vanity” room was impressed at how it got my hair purrfectly straight and very quickly.

Well carrying that stupid way heavy bottle of water home yest might have placed me at a disadvantage. Lower back aches a bit, noticed it after spin class, but it does not seem to be interfering with my usual overdoing-it so this is good. Recalling (I think) that sometimes achiness can occur some time after initial incident, or whatever. Did I ever mention that I’ve been told that carrying heavy objects is a bad plan for me? ๐Ÿ™„

Thankfully tonight is my weekly confab w/physio although I can call her any time I need to. For now did the ice/Tylenol (my go-to painkiller) thing. And heading off for Epsom salts bath followed by arnica. L8r.

Good morning all, I don’t think I managed to get to the Cafe a all yesterday. We had rain rain and more rain yesterday so Mr MS was unable to work so we set about creating an office space in what had been the girls toy/rumpus room. Not an easy task.
Wow, Harvey has certainly rained on Texas in a huge way, terrible pics of the flooding.

    Hi MS,

    Guess that our posts crossed.

At least you got your office set-up done.

“Farkin mouse” – possum, yes? Or ferret? Or lemur? Well, not the brightest kit in the world! LOL

Love the gif of kit “playing” with mousie – could watch it for hrs – will restrain myself. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love the pics today esp Mom, Mooooooomm.
Just had an uh oh moment, heard a meowing that wasn’t Shadz usual meow. Uh Oh, has she caught a mouse and is bringing it inside? Panic. Head to open door and see strange cat down on the lawn meow yeowling. On seeing me it takes off at speed but can’t get through fence so races back past me and managed to squeeze under low gate, across road and up into neighbours. Don’t know where it comes from.
I just wish Shadz wouldn’t insist on bringing her mice home to meet Mum while they are alive.
Oh AV, KZ’s post alerted me to check back on yesterday. Great that you have pics of son and GF on the banks of the Congo river. Dude has a brother, how wonderful. Welcome to Walter.
You are right in your observance of boy cat being more tolerant of new buddyies, however Shadz would welcome any male as long as he was young. She’s a cougar. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ณ
Oh my KZ, that is probably how some of Shadz many mice have passed away too. Considering one year she caught over 300 and we didn’t have a mouse problem, just undeveloped land behind us- all covered in housing now
    ๐Ÿ™ .
KJ, I used to dislike mice until I got to know the mice in the science room at college. They never bothered me after that, not even when one ran up my legs then my back and popped out of the armhole of my T-shirt when I was rescuing it from the lawn mower. Just as well seeing as Shadz likes to bring them home and let them go inside. We have had so many mouse hunts inside, Shadz by my side waiting to pounce once I have flushed the mouse out. Mummy and me hunting parties.
    ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†
AV, love how Caddy has adapted to all that passes by now.
KJ, achiness can occur some time after overwork. I was having terrible trouble with burning painful hands but Dr couldn’t see why. I wondered if it was gym related as I am a newbie in the gym really. She said it could be my low vitamin B12(related to some meds I take) and suggested B12 shots. I haven’t had them yet but have noticed that after a good gym session my hands burn and hurt but it is less and less as time goes on. It must be muscles etc that haven’t had as much use that are now getting toned from griping equipment that were hurting. still might get the B12 shots though.
Hi PG, yup looks like our posts crossed.
We have a sunny day here which is fantastic after our deluging yesterday. Over 80mm or close to 4 inches of rain and a great proportion of that came in a short few hours. Everything outside is so wet.

That is cool and the precision… I do not have the brains or wherewithal to figure something like this out, MS.

“Mom? It’s coming after me, mom. Mom?? Mooooommm??!!”
Seems there are several mousers in TDK land! Leela tracked one at just a few months old. She and Comet caught one together. I assume Dewey is a good mouser, but have never seen Mac with a mouse.
Heehee, I remember when Avery found that mouse! Hey KJ, maybe your reaction to a mouse would give it a heart attack! I’m guessing Dorry might play with it. Or maybe hide behind you! Glad Walter is settling in well with Dude.
Holy crap! Big farkin’ mouse! KJ, that looks like a ferret.
Nice the sun is out after all that rain, MS. It was nice here today too. On my walk I checked the temp at the pool; water temp below 70 degrees f, yikes! It’s been cool at night which really affects the water temp. Glad I got quality pool time back in July!

I’m like MS-Miss Gaea has presented me with many mouses dead or alive or almost either way that I’ve gotten use to them. Now that doesn’t mean I let her play with them in the house. I do not want to go to bed wondering where that mouse got to.

The big farkin’ mouse is a ferret.

MS, Rube Goldberg vid is way neat – but too much for my brain to even attempt comprehending. *Sigh*

Physio explained that carrying heavy rocker home last Mon might have affected lower back some, and carrying home heavy water bottle only added to the fun. We don’t even go to the “overuse” file anymore LOL. But she reassured me which cut stress way down and told me I should feel better quite soon, which is indeed happening. And agreed that a bit more Tylenol, Epsom salts soak/ice and arnica rub which I will reapply before getting into bed is a plan.

All I know is if there were some creature racing around my place aside from Dorry, who resides here, my stress level would be something to behold – or purrhaps not! I’m way too citified for this! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

So “big farkin mouse” is a ferret? Tks for clearing this up for me PG and JJ. I’ll prob sleep better with my question answered. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And with that will wish all heading to bed a good night’s sleep too! ๐Ÿ™‚
