I really don’t like pants. I wear them if it’s Canada cold but other than that I wear shorts or leggings.

Stupid weather here tonight, drizzling and foggy and quite warm.
HRH is outside at the moment as the drizzle has stopped so she will be hunting while she can after a day inside asleep in her fort.

Morning all! MORE RAIN coming my way, there are flood watches all over my state …… Actually I’m used to it over the years, my home is built on a crawl space, so it sits up two feet, plus on a street that slopes down to the bay ….. Never flooded in 106 years, and been through several hurricanes …..

Busy Monday, didn’t work this weekend, just wasn’t feeling great. Lots to get caught up on …. Dau comes in late Friday! Yay!!

Too hot for pants around here these days, shorts or dresses. I like pants and mostly prefer jeans – weekday jeans and Sunday jeans! I was one of those overalls wearing kids of the 70s – loved that trend.
AV, MS suggested you get out a raft and float around. I had to go to the lake to do it here but it sounds like you can float around anywhere! Seriously though, as someone who has been through floods, floodwater is extremely dirty and full of stuff you don’t want to know about, so please take care. I cringe when I see kids riding bikes through flood waters on TV. Dad used to let us kids ride our bikes close to where the water was up, and maybe even in just a bit, but he knew how nasty that water could be. Also there are sometimes dangerous currents and grass gets really slippery. That concludes my PSA. 🙂
We had some rain and a massive t-storm brushed to the north last night. Now it’s just cloudy. There have been several days this month where it was supposed to rain all day but didn’t.

I wear mostly pants & capris, but do love long skirts as well. I have worn pretty dresses, but don’t own any at the moment. My colors are black and various blues. In winter I wear these lovely corduroy pants and they are so nice and warm!
There was a lot of thunder last night! I kept hearing it, then it stopped, heard more, etc. for many long hours. Supposed to rain on and off all day today.
You are really getting lots of rain AV! Good thing your house is safe.

There was this recipe in a free magazine we get here so I wanted to share in case anyone may want to try it….
ITALIAN VEGETABLE and PASTA SOUP
(Prepared in a Crock Pot)
~~ INGREDIENTS ~~
*10 ounce pkg frozen whole kernel corn
*1 cup chopped onion (1 large)
*1 cup finely chopped carrots (two medium)
*1 cup coarsely chopped zucchini (1 small)
*2 cloves garlic, minced
*6 cups no-salt-added vegetable broth or chicken broth
*6 ounce can tomato paste with basil, garlic, and oregano
*1/2 teaspoons salt *1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
*9 ounces pkg frozen Italian green beans
*1 cup dried tiny shell macaroni
*2 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley
*2 teaspoons finely shredded Parmesan cheese
~~ DIRECTIONS ~~
1. In a 3 1/2 to 5 Quart slow cooker combine corn, onion, carrots, zucchini, and garlic. Stir in broth, tomato paste, salt, and basil.
2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 7 to 8 hours, or on high setting for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
3. If using low heat setting, turn to high-heat setting. Stir in frozen green beans and macaroni. Cover and cook for 45 minutes more. Before serving, stir in parsley. Sprinkle each serving with cheese.
