By definition, a “no brainer” is doing something that is simple, easy, obvious, and/or totally logical. Therefore,if something requires thinking, study, or analysis of any kind, then it’s not for today.

Good morning – the no brainer thing sounds good to me, there’s plenty to do that requires no thought! I like the ginger kitty with your negative IQ results.
Thinking about ECB, hope her moving expedition is going okay. Found myself thinking about her Lucy yesterday, and the lonely lady in the faded white house in the field somewhere in the Florida panhandle where my gut believes she made her home.
Well, I couldn’t sleep and wound up tuning in the Oscars just in time to see the last award, and turned the TV off as soon as it was read. I thought it odd that Warren Beatty fidgeted with the envelope before Fay Dunaway took the card and read it. This morning I see there was a mistake!
It’s a chilly and breezy day here in Jersey. Louie is happy his blankie is on the chair, though I found a tick on him yesterday. Those buggers don’t even die in the winter!

Aww, Joan. I’ve been thinking of Lucy a lot too. We just gave her cat bed to Goodwill…none of our other cats ever took any interest in it. But I still haven’t washed her favorite blanket.

Leo, Eko and Emily are hanging in there. Gotta run…will try to check in later.

    Happy Monday all! ….
I’ve been MIA for a few days, busy with working Mr. AV’s golf tourney this weekend, then just didn’t feel up to snuff yesterday, stayed in bed and rested!
a no-brainer day …. hmmm, I’d have to quit my job (since it’s all analysis), but the weekends do give me a great 😉

sweet Miss Lucy, I still firmly believe she’s happy and well with a new family that found her ….. I’m sure she thinks fondly of ya’ll too, EC!

time for me to get cracking, lots to catch up on, just wanted to pop in and say hi, and see how everyone is doing! …. L8R!!

I’m glad it’s a no brainer day, after all, it IS Monday!

I think of Lucy a lot too, funny how connected we all are and how Lucy sends vibes to us, letting us know that all is well.

MS, those cherry stone clams got eaten in short order, thanks for slipping them through the wormhole, just seeing them made my mouth water!

I didn’t watch the Oscars last night JJ, you piqued my interest though, I’m going to have to see if I can find out what that was all about!! I’m shocked you found a tick so early though, gross!! I guess I’m going to have to think about flea and tick meds earlier than what I thought!

    Hi Efurryone,

I like the ceiling fan and cat logic! I keep thinking of buy my kits this or that toy and I remember I can get a box for free…
The weather has been cold/warm for that last few weeks so it give the ticks a chance to come out, I guess. It’s good that you found it and on a black cat.

What AV? Are you too busy driving the golf cart? I remember doing that and drinking. Looking back, it amazes me I didn’t put it in the water.

Good to hear the move is going well, ECB. There was crisis of epic size at the Oscars last night. 🙄 I heard about it on the Morning news.

I’m going make some lunch. Cya and have a happy~

PG, your pics are esp pawesome today! Cable channels hehehe. And I so hope that I can get quick recall on “I’m not saying you’re stupid …” when I need it, which is all too often!

Didn’t watch Oscars but heard of bloop on news. Some lowly person at Price-Waterhouse will prob get fired big time.

I’m the MOANday grrrl! N is here which helps, or gives me a hoomin audience for my stress as opposed to Dorry. Plus she fixed laundry area door in 10 secs and is now about to fix a street-find table leg. 🙂

I broke my stress-o-meter and I need it to be tomorrow and it to be OK.

I’m feeling just a bit unfluffy at present so I’l take myself out of here so as not to ruin the vibe.

I never knew that Densa existed and this is the purrfect day to find it!

Densa was originally a fictional association created in parody of Mensa International. Rather than belonging to the smartest 2% of the population (the criteria for membership eligibility for Mensa), members of Densa must be in the stupidest 2%.

To see if you’re qualified for Densa, take this test:

Busy day and only just made it to the Cafe.
Lagatta yes cherry season has just ended here. 😥 We made the most of it while we could. I think fresh fig season is about to start but so far I haven’t seen any in the fruit shop.
KZ, you’re welcome to the cherry stone clams. I made sure I had a good amount here still.
KJ, new stressometer coming through the wormhole for you, I believe it’s dentable but unbreakable.
    OMG Densa ! That’s funny.
I won’t qualify for either Mensa or Densa and I am happy about that.
    Heading to tomorrow’s Cafe.

And then you have VINTAGE season! I have to write back to a friend who is down in her native Argentina; think it is still hot where she is (in Buenos Aires Province, not the city by that name).

We don’t get any local figs here. Oh, some Italian and Greek immigrants have fig trees, but they have to take them indoors during the winter. Figs are hardy in their countries, they can certainly tolerate a few degrees of frost, and the snow they get in hilly and mountainous areas, but it can go down to -20?C here – not nearly as often or for as long as it did 40 years ago, but it still happens… So far we’ve had the third warmest winter on record this season; I think last winter was the warmest (I only stopped cycling for a couple of snowfalls). So tender wood can freeze. One summer I spent doing research in Perugia, central Italy, I had a LARGE room in a student residence that was a nice old building. My room had a balcony, and the balcony overlooked a mature fig tree. Mmmmmmm.

Have to go downstairs and feed another little black cat, Fatima. Fatima’s human is off on a short holiday in Mexico…
