Monday 18-08-14 – Bad Poetry Day in the TDK Café

LOL at grumpy cat! Good morning. My kits are pretty subdued this morning. Must be recovering from all the fun they had at the weekend lounge.

Have to laugh at ‘Bad Poetry Day’ I can’t or ever could write poetry for love or money 🙂

Aren’t all kits full of angst 🙂 I know mine would swear by it, just a life of starving I tell ya, not enough treats, not enough brushings….etc…

Oh Deb get some coffee into ya … So glad you were alright must have brought back some nasty memories though.

Afternoon to all! Sorry I missed the morning but had to get my buns in gear this morning as had my annual mammogram! Started going to a new place ~ I was there about 15 minutes early, they took my info, had my mammogram and was back on the road to home before my actual appointment time! Unbelievably efficient, friendly and professional people–love them!
Kits and I enjoyed the weekend lounge and especially the BCAD weekend! All the girls are sporting new claw colors and glitters and Thumbalina doesn’t want to give up her pink sash for her star kit status. I have got to sit down and figure out this picture thingy so I can share all my cats’ pics.
Took my two older granddaughters to buy school supplies yesterday afternoon and seriously: it was brutal. There is no reason for it. Why does any child need 4 dozen pencils with 2 dozen to be given to the teacher? No one uses that many pencils, especially when they ALL bring that many to school. I know pencils are cheap, but this goes for everything on the list such as markers, highlighters, index cards, kleenex, baggies, paper towels, paper, graph paper, the list goes on. I don’t know why the teacher needs to dole out pencils and supplies, isn’t that what parents are supposed to do? I’m not trying to anger anyone here, and I have spent years volunteering at my kids’ school when they were there, so I do understand a little bit that some parents are irresponsible about making sure their kids have what they need. But it cost me almost $200 for 2 kids, and that won’t include their school fees which will be coming up the first week to buy workbooks, etc. Sorry, end of rant….
My cats love pencils btw, actually knocking them off of tables onto the floor and paper clips are free for the taking, sooooo all of those little goodies have to be put in drawers or a shelf up high where no one can reach them!
Well KJ, this week is hair trim day…will be looking forward to that plus a little color again! Nothing like a couple hours at the salon to give you a new lease on life LOL!
I LOVE Noodle’s full name~ reminds me of Kit and Kaboodle, or is it Kitten Kabooble? LOL, not sure because they sound the same…Willow’s full name is Willow Moon. Gosh he is an ornery sucker, but so full of sweetness you just can’t stay mad at him. All the girls play with him but Leona always has to throw in the growls and spits as she chases him and he chases her…. 🙄

So I just got back from taking Mac to the vet. Estimated age is about 8, so I gave him birthday of Memorial Day, (6/26/06) which is approximately when he showed up. He had some sort of trauma to his teeth, as one is broken, so he will need some dental work at some point. His fur is in great shape, but a little flea dander was noted so I’ll put the new collar I bought on him. I have a dewormer to give him with dinner. Vet took blood to check for fel/fiv and gave him a rabies shot. Other than some howling, he was very mellow and tolerant, and as I was trying to figure out how to get a stool sample on the way home, he provided one! Will drop it off later as I didn’t want to drive back down the mountain with him.
