MOANday Cafe, 30 April 12

Good Morning. I tried to post on the night shift last night but the ‘puter was being really annoying. Ran an upgrade, that might be what’s screwing it up.

So yes, I love lilacs, but they sure don’t love me back!

Morning, folks! *waves at Deb before she disappears* Ooh, Panera; can I have a strawberries & cream scone & a large coffee, pretty please?

Where the heck is that Hazel wench? So far today I’ve swept/Swiffered the whole apartment, scrubbed out the evil cat box & washed the bathroom floor, ugh. And the sweeping/Swiffering is an exercise in absolute pointlessness, even with only one cat. I can’t imagine how those of you with more deal with the fuzz.

Today is my Saturday, and it’s really nice out. We’re going out later to do a big grocery shopping, and then there will probably be a nap after lunch, but I want to try to spend some time out on the balcony with the book I’m reading.

Oh, and I’m happy to report that work yesterday was slightly better. May have had something to do with adding up how much I’m going to make this year between old job/severance/new job. I should send the w***h who laid us off a thank you note 🙂

There was cake in the newsroom yesterday for the boss’s birthday, and I guess she doesn’t love being the center of attention, because she said, “let’s celebrate some of our new folks; this is *insert real name here*, our brilliant new researcher”- eek! It’s nice, but kind of scary since I haven’t done anything *that* brilliant so far.

G’morning from grey & damp brewtown…tomorrow is May 1st hopeful the weather will improve by then!(My boys have been ornary must be the weather for was drizzly over weekend w/not much time outside!) Another quiet day here in the cafe. I’m tempted to take a nap with that basket of snoozing kittens over there…

LOL Joan, I know what you mean! Hi JK, yes this afternoon is going waaaayyy to slow! I need to get out of hear to go home and work some more, filling a dumpster with lots of trash that has been sitting far too long. Fun, fun for me………NOT!

I keep saying that too, but the pile of stuff is still there. I want to do it, but I don’t feel like it, sigh.
