    Hi Linda!

Where did you find my Eric thread? I posted it last night, but it vanished into thin air.

Eric was treaetd initially by a UK animal charity PDSA, and my ex next door neighbour was a nurse there. She knew we had been thinking about having a third cat, and also knew Eric would need understanding new owners as he may well face problems in the future from his injuries. We met him and fell in love, she introduced us to the RSPCA inspector who approved us, but we had to wait until he was officially signed over for rehoming. Come the 15th December, he’ll have been a member of our family for one year!

He’s settled in really well, and is a lovely, funny little chap, whose catchphrase would be “did someone say food?” as he comes running from wherever he is in the house when he hears biscuits being poured into his bowl. His best time so far is 6 seconds from upstairs…!!

MCW, under the “Postings” thread, you said to go to your blog and I got the link there…it was such a sad story with a happy ending but I wish they could have prosecuted…I’m so glad you were able to take him in!

On another note, how was back to work?

Ah yes, I’d forgotten the Postings thread too – getting very forgetful in my old age!!!

Work? Ah, that’s another story. I’m probably being overcareful, but won’t say anything about work on TDK until Monday evening.

Mum’s doing pretty well, she quite enjoyed her stay in respite care, but said she wouldn’t want to be in that particular home on a permanent basis – just as well it’s not the one we’re seriously considering! She’ll spend a day there on 11th Dec, so we’ll wait and see how that goes.

So is she in her own place right now? Did she miss you?

Mum lives in a flat, in a block which has a warden visit every day, and an emergency call system – but there’s no real neighbourly feel to the place, and she does feel quite isolated. She quite enjoyed the company at the home while we were away, she hasn’t directly said anything about missing us, but I think she’s glad to have us back!

BTW, I passed on the Father Ted You Tube bit to a good friend. She’s a lapsed Catholic of Irish background with a great sense of humor. She LOVED it! Thanks so much for passing on the info. I ordered 2 from Amazon-1 to keep and 1 to give to another Irish, lapsed Catholic friend. I think he’ll enjoy it also!

I should write to the producers and request commission!!! Glad you’ve both enjoyed it so much, I’ll have a think for anything else I think you might like.
