    Well, when Tux and some of the staff and agency kitties come ’round from their ‘nip fun they will surely help. Brekkie was a success, the teen-age kitties helped set up. I tried to see if Hazel could come by L8R. Her tirade began with “R U kidding me, on International Women’s Day …” (the rest of tirade was most unfluffy). *Oh well*. Virtual dancing on tables is highly purrmitted AV, and glad the Sal/JoJo had a good time. He and Mac seemed to bond as sharing their door to door adventures.
    PG, esp love quote/pic about men and kits! 🙂
    In keeping with this special day I just had the unpleasant experience of having to take on a total jerk in spin class. He and cohort would not stop talking – loudly – despite my pleading with him politely, as did the instructor. Finally having had it I told him to “Shut the f**k up.” Whereupon he began assaulting my character and suggesting that I go sit far away from everyone. Instructor is good but lacking b**ls, however did give me guys full name and suggested that I write formal complaint. Which I most certainly did. Cohort told me this jerk is a big “mover and shaker” and that I would get nowhere. My attitude is for sure I’ll get nowhere if I don’t do anything! So whatever, no biggie and I am just not one to sit back and let peeps walk all over me. Not taking action does not work for me at all, only stresses me out, some peeps don’t get it, but they don’t have to. We each have our own ways of dealing.
    And all the guest kits are purring their approval. They can be expected back home by dinner Daylight Saving Time.

    BB, my saying this again is only ’cause I care – I really suggest that you get your knee looked at by a doctor and if necessary get a referral to a physio or some other professional who can advise/help. Being out of commission and most importantly in pain does not seem to be a good alternative.

    Happy Purrday Dorry. Hope it’s been fun! My three Muskateers (Misty,Spunky & Rusty) turn 8 this month & say…don’t sweat the small stuff as you get older. They apologize for not attending your sleepover bcuz Spunky (at 22 lbs) can be quite the bully & may even damage the wormhole while passing thru. They said to have a piece of cake on them & enjoy the furry mouse toys they’ve sent in their place. 🙂

    One of the staff kitties is frisking his way thru the wormhole with loot bags for your trio – noms, ‘nip and toys. Always a plan to order more noms than one expects one will need, so no worries! 😉

    Hi BB – it was sunny earlier but now flurries, eep! Oh well, flurries are okay, the wind is more annoying today.
    KJ, good for you for taking action with the “mover & shaker”. Even if it doesn’t get anywhere, the written complaint alone is a success and shows the jerk that not everyone caves to his “power”.

    Nice to see you here, Feral. I hear ya with the time change. Stayed up way too late last night and got up way too late today. Oh well, at least it will be light later.
    So happy the party is a success and that Dorry is having a great birthday! Cleanup shouldn’t be too bad as most kitties are pretty good about cleaning up before they leave. It’s the mess they make while they are partying that makes you wonder how your place will ever be cleaned up! I speak from experience, though, based on parties at my place.

    Afternoon all! …. Abby and Jojo/Sal arrived home just a bit ago, Abby was exhausted …. J/S was still ‘hyped’ up …. *makes note to self* limit Jojo/Sal’s nip intake ….. Sal bounced off to his ‘where-ever’ home, and Abby passed out in her donut/heating pad bed …. I guess I’ll get full details tomorrow …. I heard rumblings about glitter, ping-pond balls … table jigs … Lucky and Mac trying their first nips too …. and ‘Don Juan’ Dorry romancing the girls! LOL …. we may never know the true story!

    …. Son has been ‘vibering’ and posting pics, Phnom Phen is a beautiful place, and he is having the time of his life! ….. I have three days left with Dau …. they are precious!

    …. hope everyone is having a great Sunday, I’ve been working, trying to get a jump on my week, but wanted to pop in for a quick ‘update’ ….

    …. BB, those biscuits would have Mr. AV drooling!

    Good morning all, wow the kits sure had a fantastic time at Dorry’s party. HRH slid home through the wormhole and wolfed down breakfast and then promptly yakked it up on the balcony. She muttered something about having nip munchies and staggered off down the steps. I found her 3 steps down later on asleep in the sun with a smile on her face. I hope she didn’t do anything too out there at the party KJ.
    What a wonderful time all the kits have had, fun,games and food and so much laughter. Excellent! !
    LOL at SalJo dancing on the table, there’s a bit of pirate in him I think. Oh now I know where the glitter came from, thanks Joan.
    BB, do have your knee looked at, they are something that we need to have in as good a working order as possible.
    KJ! You go woman! Good on you for letting Mr High & Mighty know that his attitude needs adjusting and what a jerk to then question your character. Guess he was not happy at his behaviour being pointed out so publicly. Ha ha ha, maybe he shouldn’t assume he doesn’t have to follow the usual rules of gym behaviour. I hope your letter of complaint is treated seriously. I really do not like self entitled people.
    Feral, great to see you! ! 😀 The wormhole expands so no worries about Spunky damaging it.
    BB, those biscuits are what we call scones, great looking recipe. I just may have to try them one day during Winter.
    Monday has rolled around here and is hot and sunny. Time I hung the washing out and dug a garden over and fed it in preparation for the Winter brassicas.

    Well, between being worn out from the party and the time change, my cats are conspicuously absent from the kitchen. They are about an hour late for their usual milling about the kitchen with pleading eyes until their dinner is served. I might have to call them for dinner tonight….unheard of. Thanks for wearing them out, KJ and Dorry! It was a great party.

    Had homemade waffles with the boys for dinner tonight. We often have them on Sunday nights because hubby has a meeting and isn’t fond of breakfast dinners. They were the BEST comfort food….rough Lucy day here. Later this month will be one year since the car crash.

    My cats are exhausted and they crashed as soon as they got through the wormhole…everyone has picked a chair, or a spot by the woodburner to sleep off the excitement of the last couple of days.
    ECB, so sad about Lucy…it’s hard to believe that it’s been a year. Wrapping her in prayers and love~and you too.

    Chicken soup for dinner, with enough leftover for tomorrow night. YAY! Used the tiny star pasta, and added Tumeric and dried thyme in it. Yummy. Did up all the dishes and now will go lay down with heating pad on knee.
    SO sad about your Lucy ECB. Hope she found a nice home with lots of love, but know you all miss her so…… HUGS
    Still watching NAT GEO WILD. SO interesting with all the animals. Voles, shrews, etc. and now all about foxes. When I lived in NJ, we had a den of red foxes under the side of the hill for many years. Such lovely animals.
    MS.. hope you do get a chance to try those biscuits when it’s winter there. We have scones here too, but they are a little different. I have never tried making scones, but have eaten some right out of the oven at a friends house. They had currents in them.

    It’s so quiet now with all the kitties safely returned to their homes – the GPS tracker on the wormhole assured me of this. All behaved purrfectly – for kitties – I’ll leave you all to decide what this means – Dorry is not saying a word, just gives me the cat version of a smirk every so often.
    ECB – a year? Blessings that Lucy is safe and well. (((Hugs)))
    MS – that article!!! But the company’s response/apologetics – had me ROTFL. Reminds me of not one but two incidents. Had boyfriend when I was in Uni. He was med student, top of his class. Mom/maid were away, he called to ask me how to do laundry. 🙄 At a spin class gym cohort (before class LOL) mentioned to some of us that at holidays she spent lots of time in kitchen, as she enjoys hosting/cooking. Another known male jerk up and said “Well, isn’t that your proper place?” Well she let him have it! Grrl power. Guess what? Men knit. Women fix cars. Lots of gender-based assumptions need fixing, but welcome to the 21st century LOL.
    Tomorrow I wear my “girly” pink T-shirt to spin class. The one that I just had screen-printed in black lettering with the following: “And though she be but little she is fierce – Shakespeare”. Hah!

    Happy International Woman’s Day!
    I went to visit a friend, came home, did a few things before taking an unexpected long nap. Didn’t even realize I was tired. Stupid time change. Anyway, the trio came home while I was out. They were snoozing when I got home and kept snoozing right up to dinnertime. They had a blast and the weekend party went all too quickly, but cats, being superior beings, made every moment count. Now I’m trying to decide whether to tell Comet his back claws are painted electric blue or let him discover it…
    Thank you Auntie KJ, we had a wonderful time! Happy Birthday Dorry, may all your wishes for the year ahead come true!

    BB, I can’t see any difference between your biscuits and our scones as far as the basic recipe goes. From the basic recipe we make all sorts of flavours of savoury and sweet scone with the addition of a little sugar for the sweet ones along with sultanas or dates or other dried fruits. Savoury ones can be plain cheese or with onion or whatever you like.

    I hope Mr high and mighty is at spin class tomorrow when you wear your fierce tutu. I wonder if he can stop himself from commenting on it, better have a fierce comeback ready. What I would give to be a ‘fly on the wall’ so I could see what happens.
    Joan, didn’t know you were asleep until you woke up? Been there and done that many a time. 😯
    I got my vege patch all dug over and turned, fed it with sheep poop pellets etc and then turned it all over again and watered it well. It’s so dry here the water won’t soak in so I have to keep on watering it.
    Haven’t seen HRH Shadz since I saw her crawling into the long grass a while back, I think she is exhausted from the party games. Thanks KJ, she seems to have had a fantastic time.

    I, too took a long nap this pm. With Dorry as couch companion. Darker in am, brighter at night, prefurr it the other way ’round, but if I don’t go with the time-change program I’ll sorta be out of sync with rest of world. Actually fell asleep while watching most recent version of “Dorian Gray”, quite scary film, but in a good, literary sort of way. Fortunately it’s PVR’d so I can “Resume Play” whenever.
    MS, we have scones here too. Same thing (in bakery section of grocery.) They are called tea biscuits and are made with various fruit/raisins and also with cheese. I find them a bit too crumbly and prefer muffins, but they are good. Hmm, perhaps I should pick up a box.

    You have a photo of Miss Moppet and Dorry, Joan? Darn it, I warned her about leaving evidence. 😛 I went to lunch with a girlfriend-we had delish Italian at the new restaurant in the mall. Then we went to see “The Second Best Marigold Hotel.” It was great movie and love the cast. If you like Richard Gere he’s looking mighty fine.

    When I returned all my furballs were passed on the bed. I let them sleep. They just woke up and wanted noms NOW! Apparently, they were catered to quite nicely at Dorry’s Partay. Thanks Aunts KJ and Joan.

    Since KJ was busy all weekend hosting Dorry’s partay, I will take Monday’s TDK Cafe so she can sleep in and prep for the douche bag in spin class.

    PG ! Snap on the Marigold Hotel – I have to show Mum the vid of the first one and then we are going to see the second one. Great humour and what a cast. Have you seen The Grand Budapest Hotel? Not the same type of movie but equally quirky and very good.
    Just back in from the garden, I got carried away and decided to weed out the grass from my chives, a task requiring patience and oddly I had that today. HRH wandered slowly past me a couple of times, she didn’t seem to know what to do with herself. Post party blues – nipover! 😆 😯 😮
    Seems like Joan and KJ are partied out too.
    kJ, I posted a scone recipe above, very easy to make – really. Much healthier homemade too without all those preservatives and additives. 😉
    The lemonade scones are so easy KK(Kapitikats) has been known to them at work for her workmates in very limited facilities.
