Ive had to rescue two cats during my career as an arborist . Both of them where ok , one had been up this tree for a week , it was a large ash tree and he was glad to see me , the other a small weeping willow and it jumped down as i got near it ( it was ok though ).

I guess cats can climb up much easier than they can get down.
