My 10 month old kitten clawed through the screen on one of my windows last night. We spotted him earlier this morning near the house but he ran quickly. The window he jumped from is about 9ft so he cant jump back up. Ive read that leaving out food helps, but i live in a small neighboorhood full of cats. At least 5 or so that hang out on everyones porches. Im so scared. Please help. What else can I do?

Create a little bed/nest for kit maybe in cardboard box & use a worn t-shirt as bedding/your scent.
(Put in secluded area if possible) Also add a toy of his. Food/water available near by. Sometimes
kits return in very early morn or late pm/when it is less busy. You may want to camp out & look for kit at those times.
If kit got out it may be because in heat/time to go roaming if haven’t gotten fixed yet. Good luck/please keep us informed of purry progress.

    Thank you!
I put out a little nest for him with his favorite blanket and his little fish toy. I plan on camping out later tonight. Ill let you all know how it goes.

Just adding a tag for you (lost cat). If you click on it you’ll find more good advice. Excellent advice above but just wanted to add, sometimes cats come home in the wee small hours but you don’t hear them because you’re asleep. If you can borrow a baby monitor from someone, you can put one on the back porch by his nest and one by your bedside, then hopefully you’ll hear him if he comes back and starts miaowing.
