I was going to post this on my previous post but it wasn’t loading for some reason.
anyways, I went away for the weekend for work (i pretty much had too)
and even though I worried like crazy the whole time I was gone, my boyfriends mom took really good care of Lola. She got her KMR with pedialyte and this pumpkin stuff to stop her diarea and it actually worked, when I came home Lola was back to her regular self, eating lots and no puking. Shes not hunching over anymore and she had a solid poop today!
oh, and my vet was telling me how sometimes cats can sense when their owners are going away and it actually makes them sick. I don’t think this is the case but that is interesting, especially since she was fine as soon as I got home. Oh well, I’m just glad she’s okay.
I also found some dried puked on my carpet when I got home, it wasn’t food or anything, just hair. It’s hard to tell if it’s her hair or my hair since we both have black hair, but there was a dead fly in the mix. I haven’t seen a single fly here since we moved here which is weird so i’m wondering if it was in her tummy since we lived at the old place.

    Lola yesterday, looking smug ^_^

Miss Lola is too cute CM! Glad that she is doing so well! She does look smug, kits seem to have this look down pat. Please give her a gentle scritch on that teensy white spot for me!

Oh I’m so happy for you 🙂 it’s so scary when they’re sick and kittens can get into all sorts of trouble..

Your vet is right some cats can suffer separation anxiety to such a level that they make themselves sick.. Cats eat flys regularly as it’s such fun to chase them so I would worry about that .. Hair alas can definitely cause upset tummies .. And hair ball remedy treats are a good way of making sure this doesn’t happen.. And regularly grooming her will reduce hair balls too 🙂 and pumpkin is great for helping with diarrhea .. As long as it’s not the pie filling kind just the plain pumpkin 🙂

So glad Lola is feeling better! She looks like my Bowtie, but Bowie only has a FEW white hairs on her chest, and she is much bigger than Lola. My Bowie is a sweetie too!! Oh, and my kitties LOVE flies…big ones, and they will trash the house just trying to catch one!

Thank you everyone! Lola is currently scarfing down her fav wet food, and she’s even eating kibble again. It’s such a relief knowing that she’s feeling better. And she must be a fly catching pro because I never see flies but she always manages to catch them.
Not sure if she’s going in to heat or if she just missed me while I was gone, but she’s been very vocal and affectionate. Oh well, can’t complain!
