I wonder if anyone can help here. Still don’t have a vet but? He’s now not going poo without help. I have three ways but nothing keeps him regular. Since he shuns the water bowl I give him wate r hoping to hydrate him enough. He eats one full can and dry when he asks for it. Vaseline helps sometimes, mineral oil and a bit of olive oil at others and as a last resort I dice up cheerios really fine and put that in water and give it to him which works instead of going chemical. Using metamucil on him highly disturbs me so I don’t. Any further advice would be appreciated.

You don’t say how old your kitten is so it’s hard to know what kind of advice to give. But a little olive oil to his WET food would be good. Any dry food at the point is soaking up moisture and helping to aggravate the problem. He does need to see a vet as most times kittens have worms and that causes constipation/diarrhea.

We like to recommend goat’s milk here because it’s very low in lactose (unlike cow’s milk) and is full of probiotics for their immune systems. Try the refrigerated milk section of the grocery, or the baking aisle where you can get it in cans or powder.
