Yay they have made it pretty far actually 🙂

Stroke has a new indicator! They say if you forward this to ten people, you stand a chance of saving one life. Will you send this along? Blood Clots/Stroke – They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue:

During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall – she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) …she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.

Jane’s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital – (at 6:00 PM Jane passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don’t die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

    >>RECOGNIZING A STROKE<<

Thank God for the sense to remember the ‘3’ steps, STR. Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.

T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)

    (i.e. Chicken Soup)

R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

    New Sign of a Stroke

    Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another ‘sign’ of a stroke is this: Ask the person to ‘stick’ out his tongue. If the tongue is

‘crooked’, if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this post share it to your friends ; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

I have done my part. Will you?

The story of Saving Private Ryan is closer to fact than you might think. But the Niland brothers’ story is even more dramatic than the movie it inspired.

That kitten is adorable – COA definately needed!

Deep breaths Cheri – you are with friends here. Use all the resources you can get your hands on to get what you need. Call again if you need to – that’s what they are there for to help folks who need a helping hand.

It has been a beautiful day. Pretty hot in the sun, but with a little breeze in the shade, it has been comfortable.

Hi all, AV ‘boys’ are going well and I had to LOL at Luna’s antics.

Joan, so much energy on a Saturday.

Commune great video of the deer, I have read they are pretty tame and are a National Treasure so are protected and can be fed by hand. I would say the deer and the traffic are well used to each other. OMG! that wee ginger in the gif is adorable.

We had a lovely sleep in here for Sunday followed by a rush to mow the lawns before it rained. Hubby did the weedeating(weed whacking) while Airy mowed and I raked the ground ahead of her. It thundered a few times and just as the mower clogged up with grass the heavens opened. A good sign to retire inside.

Shadz rode out the storm under the balcone bu still came in soaking wet demanding a towelling off. It gave her an appetite and she ate all her meat without noticing the Lysine mixed in it. He he he.

No sign of Hazel here either.

Hazel is never around when needed! One of daughter’s bffs is dealing with his father’s cancer. Stage 4 and no treatment that can be given until he is more stable. She and I shopped this morning and then cooked and helped fill the fridge! When there is nothing you really can do, helping this way seems better than doing nothing.

Jiggs loved to get towel dried when he was young – before I put the kabosh on letting them out in bad weather!

SM, you are very thoughtful and gracious in helping with cooking and having food in the house.

Had to wash my hair 3 times this afternoon to get sap out of it from a branch I had trimmed before crawling under the tree. I hit my head and expected the scrape, but not a sticky mess!

OH, BAD NEWS on the NEW Hummingbird feeder….. it leaks! 🙁 Now I will have to see if Tractor Supply will give me a new one?? I’ll call them probably on Monday when I have a chance. The poor hummers will starve by then! LOL Well, I can see how much the one we have at work costs, IF they still have it and get that one for now. It’s a lot smaller too. Poor things are going to be flying around saying, “OK, where’s the food???” Poor neglected babies…….

Didn’t realize that San Francisco got most of their water from this area.

The fire is burning toward the Hetch Hetchy reservoir, where San Francisco gets 85 percent of its water, and power for municipal buildings, the international airport and San Francisco General Hospital. Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency because of the threats.

Ok so this I do not understand, Golf ‘n Stuff is a family fun small park….so where were the parents and/or guardians of this child? No small child should be alone in a public place especially a 2 yr old near water, sigh.

Sad but it was probably one of the only places he was treated “nice”, wonder how many other problems he had…
