I have 10 week old kittens. I have been doing a great job using tape and deterrent spray to keep them off furniture. I have been sleeping on my couch with them since I got them two weeks ago to build a bond with them and because my bedroom has too many things that keep them awake at night. I haven’t been sleeping in my room because they are too little to jump on my very high bed and they climb it. I don’t want to deter them from my bed but I don’t want them climbing it they leave snags and holes in my sheets and comforter. I put s chair next to the bed and try to help them use that but of course they don’t. Any suggestions for this help. I want them to sleep with me but don’t want my bed destroyed. Please help!!!

You could try placing a series of boxes, chairs, etc, next to your bed so they can climb the stairs. A ramp might help too. You could wedge a piece of wood between the mattress and box springs on the side where you won’t trip over it.

If you have an old blanket or sheet that you don’t care too much about, put that over the whole bed.

Kitties are always going to want to climb; make sure they have plenty of allowable things to climb on so that your bed isn’t the only “mountain” they have to scale.

Boxes would help! Thanks! I’ll have to completely surround my bed because I tried a ramp/step and they just climb up it lol
