    Hi Jayde,

Put a couple of drops of olive oil in his formula. This is known to help with constipation. Most, if not all, kittens have worms. He’s too young for de-worming but that can contribute as well.

Oftentimes, formula will cause constipation. You can get him some Goats’ milk. It’s in the dairy section or the concentrate in the baking aisle (mix 1:1 with water). This is very good with probiotics, nutrients, low in lactose and doesn’t cause constipation/diarrhea.

The change in food should help but if he hasn’t pooped by tomorrow AM, call the vet. for advice. I’m not sure what the vet. can tell you because your guy is so young though.

Good Luck and Let us know how you guys are getting along. BTW, welcome to TDKland.

The goats milk is awesome. It helps and was the first thing I turned to when we rescued our baby in August

Hi Jayde. I just went through this with four foster kittens. I used .25 ml of coconut oil before every feeding. They actually really liked the oil and didn’t fight me or spit it out, which was an issue when I tried olive oil. It took four days before they pooped; we’re now dealing with the opposite problem from coccidia. Best of luck!
