Can we please honor the wishes of our beloved Kittenmaster when it comes to verboten topics? Raw feeding was banned long ago, along with indoor/outdoor living, because of the unreasonable level of emotion it evokes. It is simply not ok to talk about raw feeding on this forum. Mo, do you have any plans to respect that?

I dont recall KM banning raw feeding? I checked the rules again, only banned topics are declawing and indoor vs outdoor debate?

I haven’t banned it, but I’m certainly considering such a ban. It’s becoming apparent that for many its exactly the same kind of discussion, with entrenched positions on both sides of the debate and no one willing to listen or budge. I’d really appreciate it if you could respect each other’s positions and post accordingly. People using a hectoring tone (on either side of the argument) – or criticising others merely for thinking differently – are not welcome here.

Okay I have been reading but not commenting. I am so sorry your kitty has the poops. Has the vet gotten to the point to tell you just to boil 1/4 of a breast of chicken and a tiny bit of rice? She might be allergic to a common ingredient in cat food.

Its not putting her on a raw diet its taking everything out of her diet. Try it for a day or three and see if it makes a difference. If the poo starts to firm or she has firm poo, you know what you are dealing with. A food allergy. If it doesn’t make a difference keep looking for answers. I hope this helps.

I spoke with another vet and she prescribed me a pill version of metronidazole( as opposed to the icky liquid stuff I was previously trying to give Izzy)

Anyway it’s been 3 days and guess what?!?!?! Izzy had her first normal poo!

I’ve never been this excited about the litter box ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

Hopefully after the 14 day treatment of this antibiotic my little girl will be good to go!

We spend a lot of time on this forum discussing poop and litter box issues. Glad to hear that Izzy seems to be on the mend.

So glad to hear kitty is better!

I’m guessing I’m bad at picking up internet vibes, cause I didn’t know there was an issue with people getting offended over raw diets. But it should not matter whether or not a person feels slighted by raw diets because it is about the cats, not the human. I’m not saying people don’t matter. What I mean is we are here to help the cats and help people live with their cats, and if a raw diet helps a cat out there get healthy again, then people should swallow their negative thoughts and remember we are all here because we are called to be guardians to precious furry angels.

I hope you don’t ban raw diet topics too. It is a dietary topic, and a healthy diet is important to cats. I have seen people get so much help from others who have so much knowledge to share on this topic. I do not feed my cats raw, but I know some cats do require this special diet to get healthy. I would hate to think a cat would suffer in the future because this topic was banned (unable to be mentioned) due to humans unable to overcome their differences and put the cats first.

Vitamin B12 deficiency โ€“ although not fully understood, there is an important relationship between chronic diarrhea in cats and vitamin B12 (cobalamin) deficiency. These cats may need to have vitamin B12 replacement therapy before their diarrhea will resolve
