My new little kitten, Belle, was found under a dumpster at my dad’s work (along with her brothers and sisters) at the beginning of May and we decided to rescue her. Although we weren’t sure how old she was, she was very tiny and couldn’t have been but a few weeks. During the first couple of days, she wouldn’t let anyone touch her, she would just hiss and spit at us. Now, she is very very playful, but also very very rough. She scratches and leaves long marks that sometimes bleed, and she also bites extremely hard. I have already tried googling how to stop it, but so far it seems like nothing is working. She plays with my hands and feet the most, and she also likes to climb up my leg when I’m wearing pants. She has also bat at my face and scratched my eyes while I’m sleeping to wake me up. When she scratches and bites, I firmly tell her “NO” and try to walk away, but she thinks it’s all a game. When I’m laying in bed (she does sleep with me) and she tries to play with my hands, I say “NO” and move her away from me. She has plenty of toys, but she really only plays with them when I leave her to go to work or whenever else she’s alone. She has also destroyed a few of the toys. I don’t know what else to do, I’ve almost lost my temper a couple of times on her but I know I have to be patient. If you know of any good toys to help or have any advice, PLEASE help!
